How does the hood's gang compare to past super vilain groups?

So, they do that all the time, its not like he is dead or anything at the moment. He had at least one major storyline in 2000.

2000 was seven years ago. Besides, Bendis wanted to use the Hood specifically because he liked him and didn't want him to fall by the wayside like so many recently created Marvel characters. People have a tendency to go back to the classics rather than use any new characters, so I applaud Bendis for that much, at least, even if he is pretty much going completely against the character as he was established and as McDuffie used him in Beyond.

Bendis has been doing that for years. He put Spider-Woman and Luke Cage back in the spotlight, for example.

Yeah, and I think Luke is the only one who's managed to retain something of his classic personality in spite of it.
