Or, I am not sure I could post that scene but if you look at the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the first appearance of Leatherface hits you like a hammer.
It sounds crazy but I would love for Batman to be introduced as if it were a horror movie, jump scare and everything. You want the audience to realize that they would be scared too, so make that first appearance a scene they will remember. Not some "oooooh how cool" entrance but a "**** I just jumped" kind of entrance.
I think Michael Myers in the Halloween series of movies has had a lot of shocking entrances. I'd like something along those lines.
TBH, I think that should be the ONLY approach for a Batman intro.
In past Batman movies, one felt like an observer in a sidecar with Batman, rather than a criminal experiencing him for the first time. And yes, I include Begins in that.
Frankly, that scene plays out like a dark comedy, and it's actually pretty fun to watch. Falcone talks about "the secrets of scary people" while various criminals are being taken out one by one. It's all a giant set up to the epic, but predictable punchline "I'm Batman."
Okay, I still think Begins is the best directed of the Nolan movies, even with its flaws in writing and action.
But Affleck has the fan majority rallied against him, wishing him to fail. It doesn't demand a scene on par with other Batman movies. It needs a scene that apes the early appearances of such a character.
Having Batman play the part of a non-deadly slasher with NO set-up whatsoever would play a big part in that.
I think a great scene in my head would be a sting operation with a detective conversing with a bunch of drug dealers. A drug dealer notices she's wired with a mic, and points a gun at her, which gets taken out by a Batarang.
He then looks to where he thinks the batarang was thrown from, and gets caught by the Bat Bola (which is thrown by above).
He says "Who..are?"
To which Batman just points at his embelm, and vanishes.
Or if they wanted to give him a supernatural vibe, have him foil a high speed car chase, crashing straight into the windshield (jumpscare) and push the driver and passengers against the car, using the environment as a weapon while tearing off the ignition wires with his grappling hooks. Then having him rescue the criminals before they fall over an overpass would be the best way to show the duality of darkness and brutality and heroic character. Straight-up TAS stuff, but more primal
People would both believe Ben as Batman, and invest in his Wayne later on, having seen what he could do in the suit. And a lot of it could just be a stuntman :P
