BvS How should Batman be introduced?

It´s a Darth Vader Noooooooo! to your Idea ;)
Maybe they try it in the adult-Version

You should look at my suggestion on how to introduce him in the previous page. I'm sure you'll agree its' quite awesome.

If you´re talking about the "out of the shadows and kick some ass" idea, than I´ll agree in a way. I definately want to see him, but I don´t want, that he shows himself to the public all the time, especially in bright daylight. He is the Dark Knight, not just because some of his suits are black but because he uses the shadows and night against his opponents.

Something I´ve been missing from the Nolan Movies, especially TDK and TDKR was Batman as a Shadow-Figure, a Danger in the Dark and somewhat of a Mystery.
Burtons Batman did this very well and still has some of the most effective Batman-Scenes out of all the Batman Movies that have been made so far.
I hope that Snyder takes care of this fact but he already proved how good he is with the use of Light and Shadow in Nightscenes, for Example in Watchmen.
As long as Snyder keeps Batman from being fully revealed to the public Eye in Gotham, he would still be the Fear of the Mob, even though Batman might have not been seen for a couple of years.

yes. I want a return to that with Snyder's Batman.

Uh... No. Are you ref. to this clip? You know, where he has a car land on top of him, and he leaves a dent in the shape of his body into it, then shrugs it off? Cuz that is what happens. He gets knocked down by ZOD, not the car. Please tell me where else in the film he is hit by an Earthly vehicle and is "knocked on his ass"?

You know what is one thing that bothered me? I don't care how powerful you are to other people from this planet, you should not be more powerful than those who are equal to you. So how is it none of the Kryptonians bleeds or get black eyes or have their faces busted in like an MMA/boxer/fighter, etc. after getting punched so hard that their feet are lifted off the ground, etc. That would be the equivalent of a human getting punched square in the face and not getting a black eye or chipping a tooth or anything like that. I am not sure if there is a reason for that OTHER than to keep it PG-13.

It's easy to assume their invulnerability outweighs their strength. They are not immune to physics though so a powerful blow would knock them off their feet but not leave a mark because they are more durable than they are strong.

I would introduce Bruce Wayne first, I think. I'd start the movie showing what Clark's been doing since MOS. I'd have Bruce involved in something public, like maybe helping Lex with some rebuild Metropolis project and then perhaps Clark and Lois interview him. At this point, people would be wondering when batman was coming and it would up the anticipation. At this point we've only seen a Metropolis that, while battered in some areas, is improving and looks like a modern, bright city. Then I'd have Superman go to Gotham looking for Batman, perhaps because he found out Bruce was Batman or something.

Clark would be wandering the streets of Gotham and looking at all the Gothic and sometimes seedy scenery. It would be dark aside from street lights of course. Maybe it's even raining to add to the dreariness. Then Clark would hear a commotion. He'd float over to it and find some thugs knocked out on the payment after an attempted drug deal/robbery of some sort. He'd hear some more banging and then silence. He looks straight ahead and XRays what's in front of him. He sees no one but knocked out thugs. Then he hears a small sound behind him. He turns around and sees either this:

Or this:

They stare at each other for a couple seconds. Then Batman says (in a deep Conroy-esque voice) "I've been wondering when you'd show up." Superman just gives him a small smile.

LOL that's pretty much exactly what I posted a couple pages back. The only difference being I just had him disappear, and not encounter him face to face yet at the end. Everything else though, pretty much the same ha.

C'mon son!!! SUPER FAST HEALING FACTOR!!! :oldrazz: :word: :woot:

Sure, we could assume that, but I seriously think that they didn't think that their invulnerability to each other would outweigh their own strength or anything. I think they did it to keep it PG-13. I think that's the only reason they did it, but they should have beaten to a pulp. The Rocky movies show Rocky pretty beaten, bruised and bleeding Rocky and they stayed PG or PG-13. Why not have Superman and company bleed?

Kryptonian superpowers make no scientific sense at all, so don't think too hard. Just go with the powers as they are defined in the movie.

Well, I am not just thinking about how it fits into the movie, I am trying to look at the logic for it. I would imagine the logic they used when making the movie is just to keep it PG-13. I would guess that is why they would do it. I don't think they sat down and thought he should not bleed because of X and Y. I think they just did it to keep it PG-13, don't you think?

And if he has not been shown bleeding in other movies, maybe to not make people feel that this version was much more violent or anything like that. I am trying to figure out why they did it, and I think it was just the issue of the rating. They probably realized that they may be pushing the PG-13 issue too much if he was bruised and bleeding, etc. Same as with Batman. Bane beats the crap out of him and there is barely a drop of blood to be seen. Heath Ledger too, punched in the face being interrogated and all that, and not one broken tooth or bloody face, etc.

I don't think blood would make the movie rated-R.

But in the case of blood and gore, human beings have an emotional reaction to blood and gore. If it's shown, it will be the dominant emotional component of the imagery. It thus will be shown if the creators are going for that.

Opening credit Batman is on a mission shows us the things he can do, heads back to the batcave and does some work on his computer. News is playing in the background of an object in the sky, Alfred walks in and offers bruce some tea then zods message plays on all of batmans screens.

This. Pretty simple and effective.

Then I am not sure why they never decided to not show any of the major comic book characters bleed. From Batman, Bane, Joker, Liam Neeson, Superman and company, or any of the other guys from the Avengers, etc. Obviously, if the creators want to show it or are going for that they will show it, but I am not sure then why they didn't want to show that. You don't think it is possible they decided not to show it so parents are more likely to take children to see the movies? I don't think it was an artistic decision, I think it was a decision made to help bring the kids in as well. But you think it was an artistic decision?

Didn't Superman cough blood when he breathed the air on the Kryptonian ship?

For a quick little clip, no more than he spit a little blood in Superman 2 after the fight at the diner. But I think they may have tried to keep it to a small amount for the movie for the reasons I mentioned above. Why do you think they did it?

To show that he was really in pain.

No, I mean why do you think they decided to go completely bloodless and bruise-less for the battles in all of those movies if it was not to make the movies more kid friendly?

I wrote a small bit on fan fiction about how they might introduce Batman in a prologue. It had Bruce watching Clark since he was a kid. (it helps that Bats is older)
Much like Lois he was keeping an eye on unusual news reports when the miraculous bus rescue in Smallville threw up a flag on the Batcomputers search routines. He made several trips to Smallville as Wayne after he determined that Clark was an alien and that his arrival coincided with a "UFO/meteor" sighting that barely made the papers. He used his business as cover to search for and recover some meteorite rock that fell to Earth along the path of the craft's descent. He studied the rock and it's radiation. Kept it in a vault in the cave because he still wasn't sure whether this alien was friend or foe. Or whether he could be easily corrupted.
This is all shown as flashbacks and lets the viewer know that Bruce was aware of who and what Clark was and had been keeping an eye on him. Once the message from Zod was received he knew who it was Zod wanted and where to find him. So he went to Metropolis and kept an eye on things during the fight. Possibly even recovering Kryptonian artifacts from the crashed ships to reverse engineer. Maybe even gather some Kryptonian blood to test the rock's effect on it.

This allows him to use that knowledge and reverse engineered tech to create a suit to fight Supes , if it comes to that. Because Bats is all about contingencies. Unfortunately he wasn't the only one. Lex had been looking for artifacts in the aftermath too.

*Scene changes to daily planet roof top*

*Superman is getting the tar beat out of him by doomsday*

*Doomsday holds an injured/half dead superman by the neck and will throw him off the building*

*Doomsday let's go and sends superman sprawling at 100mph towards the ground*

*Air Whizzes by & Doomsday looks confused*

*Doomsday "fast"*

*Batman saves superman from his fall*

*Deep Voice "It seems you beat the man of steel quite easily, let's see how you fare against the dark knight" *

*batman emerges from the shadows with a sinister grin and batarangs up towards doomsday and kicks him directly in the face stunning the beast*

*Batman talks to doomsday "Shall we begin"*

*Superman watches batman from a bloody state "This guy is a mere human and he's able to move doomsday like that. What is he"*

^^
Then suddenly a boom tube opens up Batgod enters it and it takes him to Apokolips we're he fights Darkseid for the title of master of the universe.

I would like one scene where maybe Batman decides to challenge Superman but to settle it for people that always say who would win, or this or that, that Batman is throwing all the toys he wants at Superman and Superman pretty much stands there same way Bane did. Just blows and pushes him away or that Batman tries to move a muscle and Superman is just gone, behind him, etc. same way Faora was moving among the military men in Man of Steel. Not to offend the Batman fans, but just so people stop making an argument for how Batman might win even for a moment.
