I honestly think that Norman Osborn will become the 616 Green Goblin. I really don't think that Marc Webbs (as a fan of the comics) would change the appearance of Spider-Man's most iconic character. For Electro, I can kind of understand why he would do that. I mean, Electro isn't even very well known by the general public (everyone I've talked to so far in my circle of friends don't know Electro). But Green Goblin is definitely someone whose appearance shouldn't be messed with

Well, they apparently did listen to fan feedback about the suit hence the change to a more classic looking costume.

Mm. I wouldn't be surprised if Norman takes the mantle later in the series. Be it 3 or 4. I like the idea of Harry taking the mantle first. It's their take on the legacy/story. I actually don't view Electro's look as deviating at all. It's seriously just taken from Ultimate, with again their own take.

Oh yeah, there's definitely resemblance to the Electro from Ultimate. But his suit all in all, is just different from both Ultimate and 616. To me personally, it's not too big of a deal since it looks pretty awesome.

I was actually hoping Norman would become the green goblin sometime during the second film, but that would definitely be cramming too much into the movie. I'm thinking that Harry is probably not "Green" Goblin as of now, but probably the "Proto-Goblin" that was supposed to be in the first movie. Or simply just Hob Goblin.

Yeah I mean that would be much cram. I could see what you're saying. There's no way of telling what they're gonna do in the future. But yeah I see what you're saying with Harry being the "level 1" goblin.

spike from buffy in black/green batman Armour with acne, look i'm not daft i'm not expecting a rubber mask, elf boots and a tunic but the leaps and bounds they have made to get further away from even the concept of the look is insane

seriously if universal studios theme parks can get it this close on the cheap

a big budget hollywood movie can make that look work

I entirely believe there is a way to make comic-accurate costumes look amazing in live-action on screen, and it has to do with lighting and the colors of the costumes. Some day I hope we'll get direct translations of certain characters.... someday.

But honestly the Ultimate Alliance costume would look pretty perfect on screen as it is.

if anything, my complaint would not be that they went with a transformation/mutation look for GG, instead of a mask... I'd more complain that they went half @** with the look

if you going to have him trasform into a Goblin go all out with it, make him huge with green skin, pointy ears, yellow eyes, spiky head...ect


I wouldn't say I am a fan of the ultimate goblin, but, if your going for that look, just go for it, don't try to make some subtle, more realistic, version of it

Transformation is ok.. but because he transforms into something that resembles a goblin to fully embrace the role of one, with the hat/hood, gadgets and costume.
