Here's the thing: if Norman becomes Green Goblin, you want him to be the center of attention.

When you are doing the Sinister Six, Doctor Octopus is the villain you're looking at, so I think Norman needs to be the main villain of his own movie. Perhaps the Sinister Six won't come until the fourth installment?

I really don't think we''ll get a Sinister 6 till the fourth installment. I think they are going to finish this trilogy with the Osborne's demise as well as the Stacey's, and then do the Sinister 6 movie

I used to think that the S6 film would only be the fourth film, but the more I see and hear, the more it feels like the studio is pushing for it to happen ASAP. I wouldn't be surprised if the third movie is the Sinister Six.

Hopefully Webb doesn't let Sony push him to much for it...We all know how SM3 turned out.

Unless this trilogy was leading to the Sinister Six from the beginning and this has been part of the plan all along. Its possible the fourth film was tacked on later on and was meant to be the spin-off.

I think that Harry is Norman's lab rat in this movie to test things out before he uses them on himself.

I really wonder how long Harry will be the Goblin in this film. I think he will be turned during the last act (40 mins).

they won't make him a solo villain because he already has been a solo villain with raimis first movie so there will be no hype for audiences, as least not as much as you think or should be, even if they change his look there will still be people just comparing it to raimis film, people will want a new villain

chances are norman will lead the sinister 6

If thats so, I wonder if Venom really is planned for the Solo movie along with Carnage

I didn't mean that he should be a SOLO villain, but he should be the MAIN villain. ;)

Same. I really want Venom done right!

Let's say hypothetically they do wanna rush for S6 in tasm3, who would be the cast of villains? and how would they flesh out all the characters? Doc Ock, Vulture, Green Goblin (maybe), and Rhino are the only ones we can be sort of certain of. That means 4 of the villains we havent even seen yet and wont till 3

What if the after spoilers were right
and he did die and was frozen. Perhaps they use the symbiote to combine with his dead body to bring him to life leading to an insane alien undead creature?
How would anyone feel about that? And yes I know it is crazy fanboy speculation but I couldn't help myself.

Again, I want Norman to become Green Goblin because a) he is the one and true Goblin and b) I really want to hear Chris Cooper's Green Goblin voice.

a) is undeniable truth
I'd love to experience b) as well

YES! From the looks of things Harry is just a "tease", building us up to the main event: a terrifying villain who truly wreaks havoc on Peter's life.

AND IS ACTUALLY GREEN!

Ok, now think about this.
Perhaps the Oz serum makes Norman "young again" Makes him strong and young for a few hours.
If you notice, the Goblin in the trailer doesn't QUITE look like Dane. It is different. Has a longer nose and a thinner face, but looks somewhat like him... Like someone who is related to him.
Now, Pete sees this, and thinks it IS Harry, but could it possibly be an un-aged Norman? And could it slowly transform into a Chimera goblin throughout the film, only transforming back into Norman once he is dead?

If you recall, this was supposed to be a trilogy. Marc Webb and Andrew Garfield were both sort of surprised with the announcement of the fourth film (which, according to the studio, won't be "just" a Spider-man film, so it very well could be a Sinister Six event film). Sony added that on. So Marc definitely had a set idea for the trilogy and it mostly looks like it has to do with Oscorp (and therefore the Goblin). I'd wager Sinister Six is something that was the studios idea and Marc has been working with it.

I don't expect Sinister Six to be the collective "antagonist" until the fourth film. Not with the direction they're going.

I suppose Norman is kinda the "Goblin King" of the Spider-man mythos. lol

Green Goblin (probably Norman Osborn)
Doc Ock
Vulture
Electro
Rhino
The Lizard

...and maybe Venom. Think of Peter's dad's work and Venom's origin from Ultimate Spider-Man. Look at the black vials in this one. The only question really is whether Venom will be Eddie Brock. Part of me wonders if they will just make Norman Osborn Venom. Why not? It is not like they have not already royally screwed with the Osborn legacy and Spider-Man canon. I could see that being a real possibility.

Well... he does look green in his potential death bed. So... there's that.

I see the Sinister 6 as villains over three movies, not necessarily all at one time. Norman and OsCorp collect/create these villains to stop and kill Peter, in the third, Norman takes the serum himself and tries to do what they couldn't....

TASM: Lizard
TASM2: Rhino, Electro, Goblin (Harry)
TASM3: Doc Ock, Vulture
TASM4: Goblin (Norman)... Sorry to say, some people will get mad, but more of an Ultimate Goblin.

Sinister 6 plus their "Leader," making seven total villains in four movies.

True. I think waiting until part four is the smart thing to do. I was just wondering if Marc Was planning this trilogy to be about Oscorp and the Sinister six, while the tacked on fourth movie would be the spin-off.

But I think you are right about this.

I'm still hoping it'll be the old bait & switch, and Norman will be the Real Goblin.
