World How to make the spiderman web shooters.

thanks for the heads up ill be sure to help all i can with the propulsion of the web.

Maybe we can vote on shooters, but maybe we can do one better. You love the Spiderman TAS. I recall an episode where there were like five to six spidermen including Ben Reilly, armored spider, and an actor playing spidey in the movie. When our spidey was working with them, he was told about impact webbing and Peter was amazed. He even told him that he'd never have ever thought of that. Even in their shooter designs, Ben never pressurized his fluid. He let used a pump and used a sensor whereas peter used a solenoid and a double tap switch. We can all contribute features that will help us progress together instead of staying with one design. Different shooters can do different things too. While I want to make a military shooter, you might want to make a recreational swinging shooter, and Jma wants to make a prop shooter. We could make things for natural disasters, crime stopping activities, and even medical aid. We just have to innovate our ideas. I of course mean this after we finish our first working prototype, but can you imagine what our collective imaginations can accomplish?
if we did stop crime we would want to get in alot of practice first

What if I bought the official amazing spiderman web shooter toy and filled the container provided with the formula web fluid. Would that work?

Hi, i'm trying to make a Steampunk Spiderman Costume much like the one pictured here
tumblr_m0s5qsDZx91qco5wko1_500.jpg

And was wondering how you would go about making a functional web shooter on that. i saw something posted about it earlier in the thread, I believe it was White_Widow posting about how to transfer silly string to smaller aerosol cans, but I'm kinda fuzzy as to how that would work, because that idea would have worked perfectly. Then I saw Symbiote_Man posting about a hot glue gun web shooter which would be totally doable as my costume will have a backpack where I could conceal a larger compressed air can, but then I'm wondering what would power the hot glue gun and plus it would take forever to heat up.

If I put the formula White_Widow said to make into a Mega Blaster Web shooter from Walmart would that be ok or is the can not suited for the formula?

From what I've read anything that White_widow is talking about couldn't be compressed into a child's toy. They're not regulated to handle the kind of pressure required to keep a gas a liquid.

if you were giong to use a backpack pack styled one i would go with this suit here it would actuily look cool

im going to see if a friend of mine could help me work on wall climbing gloves

Hey im new to this site but i just wanted to jump right in there on the subject, my web shooter design consists of a nozzle with a web container holding base with tiny needle poking out of the bottom of it so when i push down on the trigger the fluid in the web container shoots up from compressed air, my only two problems are how do i get the containers to reload automaticlly with out constantly having to manually reload it so much? and what type of fluid can i use for the webs to full my container with?

Try seeing if you can make suction cup gloves that would probly work better.
as soon as i get ahold of him im going to ask hem if we can try a spider style with all of those little hairs they have it in the army so ill tyr something like that it will probably be preety hard though

if anyone wants me to swing myself around the city
with the web formula
i'll be most happy to

who wouldnt?

Lots of people would love to do it, I would. But the swinging can be dangerous. Not just that if the shooter breaks or the fluid can't support you, your arms could get injured or pop out of a socket if you are going down hard enough when you swing. If you also have Spidermans superhuman strength, them go for it. Sorry for the pessimism, but I am also betting there are ways to swing safely, just not like spiderman can.

There is actually research based on a beetles natural mechanism to adhere to things with water droplets. There are tiny plates with even tinier holes, and with a regular battery water droplets are forced through the plated, adhering to most surfaces. It also can support large amounts of weight, because it's created for people like in the military to carry supplies in their back too, so it can more than support a person.

Hi! I've been reading through this thread, and it is amazing. White Widow, if you see this can you PM me your formula for webbing. I'd like to experiment in this more in my free time. Thanks guys!

Could ya'll just post the web fomula on this page so it is easy to find

if i could keep a polymer in its liquid form lond enough i might be able to make the gloves with a microscope of course

I want to develop a spring loaded web shooter similar to the style of the Scarlet Spider. I have a general idea that one of the wrist canisters would be hollowed out and be spring loaded with a simulated twine and glue webbing stuffed in with a release switch to send the webbing shooting out but still be attached to the web shooters at the end. I want this for picture taking and general costume contest theatrics. Any ideas on how to make this happen.

this....this seems promising but you might want to make sure that the web biodegrades in about an hour because in the comics, movies, and cartoons the web is really sticky

I've come up with several shooters, and I already have gloves to get me to climb walls, so my biggest concern now is the webs.

But I want to share my launcher ideas!
I have several launchers, I started big and bulky, and started getting smaller and smaller, now I'm down to this canister the size of Spidey's original shooter. I'm going for the Amazing Spiderman's size, if it's possible... We'll find out.

I've been going to for looks, but this is really not what you should do if you're considering capacity. My webs aren't even webs... They're just this gooey white stuff (not what you think :whatever: ).

I use 3 steel canisters, I have 2 buttons that stick to my palm with a wire running up to the back of one of the canisters. When one runs out I move the wire to another one. When I press one button the wire sends a signal up to the canister and it takes in air, when I press the second button the front tip of the canister opens (the opening is small), and the fake webbing spews out. I only got it to go as far as 10-25 feet. It varies on how much webbing I've used. If there's less webbing left, there's more space for more air, which means more air pressure, which means more distance :)

Tell me what you think of it :woot:

Dude, that's friggin' awesome!! Do you mind posting some pics of the shooter? And some pics of the gloves? Thx!

Could you please tell me how you got or made those gloves? :)

Frankly? I believe this is all an untruth... an embellishment at most.
You will have to offer up some kind of proof if you really want us to take your ideas to heart. Remember, "pics or it didn't happen".
As it stands, it didn't happen.
I'm not trying to call you out or anything here, but really, I think you should definitely show us pictures or something. These are outrageous claims.
