Hulk feats of strength!

He was able to leap that far already back in the 1960's comics. I see no reason to why he shouldn't in this film.

Nope. As far as the novel and script are concerned, his leaps are short and brief. I don't mind, personally. Not only does it follow physics, but these leaps help people forget about his actions in the "parallel universe" film (as I've so dubbed it).

If this is true, its extremely dissapointing.

Exactly, he has always done it in the comics, he should do it here. Next they will make Spiderman unable to shoot webs :down.

I don't mind them downsizing the length of the jumps, as long as they're still there though.

hulk shouldnt even need to jump all that much, cause he never backs down from a fight.
also if a sequel is made i wanna see hulk use other moves from ult. desrtuction, like clutching a helicopter in mid air and throwing it into another, or rip the wings off of a jet and direct it into the ground.

To be honest, judging the first draft, Hulk doesn't really need to jump in the film, there aren't any situations where it would be necessary. Just because he does not jump in this film it does not mean he can't jump at all. And I'm sure if fans cry out for Hulk jumping then they will have him jumping in sequels.

^He jumps in the trailer out of a glass corridor towards the troops.

Yeah he does jumps like that, look at TV Spots and you see him jumping on rooftops and then jumping to a helicopter. But people want him jumping like in Ang's Hulk, where he uses his leaps as transport.

That was one of my favorite scenes in that movie.

it's not like ang's hulk, it's like the comics....

he's been jumping miles before you were born....lol

Yeah I know it is in the comics but Ang's Hulk is one of the visual representations of it in motion.

I thought the leaping scene was great. You could see his sense of freedom in the movie. The thing is his leaping ability is his mode of transport and has been forever. Without it, he cannot 'travel' as I doubt he will be taking the plane, the train or a car anytime soon.

I will be dissappointed if they limited his ability because of the TV show.

That's right, Hulk can't fit in most conventional modes of travel. I also like Ang's vision showing Hulk taking in and enjoying his leaps.

Honestly, do you want them to change the plot to accommodate jumps? It is a shame he doesn't do it, but really now it doesn't mean he can't.

He's not in wide open spaces like in Ang's. He cannot be jumping 3 miles a city full of sky scrapers, or a college campus where he is fighting the army / protecting Betty.

They aren't saying he can't, he's just not doing it because there is no reason for it here.

Besides
doesn't he jump away with Betty and carry her to a cave after the campus fight?

I'm not shooting down the movie because of it, but I would like that to stay a staple of the character.

And what I am saying is who's to say it's not? Just because he doesn't have a scene to use it in this context as he is usually in a confined area or in a head on battle with someone (like Abomination) doesn't mean he cannot and would not.

Ang's film had the perfect playground to show off the jumps, the desert miles and miles of plains, while being chased by the military. Unlike in this film where he is essentially surrounded by them at the campus.

But I do know how you guys feel, I miss my quips in the Spidey films.

Having the Hulk not being able to leap for miles would be one step closer to make him appear as primitive and clumsy as Lou Ferrigno was.

Doesnt' Hulk
run off with Betty after the first Blonsky fight.

Its kinda like superman, just because you dont see him use his ice breath doesnt mean he doesnt have it, its just that he may not need to use it.

Yeah I was wondering if someone could tell me whether
he runs off or jumps away with her, of which I am not really sure which one it is as I never read that far into the script... though I can check if it's still on my PC.

Edit:
It is running he runs into the trees, bit of a disappointment, but at least the scene afterwards with him and Betty seems amazing.

Again, I'm not knocking it as I have full faith in LL's direction ability, but it's more so the fan coming out of me.

Whatever it is, I'm sure the movie will be outstanding.
