So you hated the voice in the first film?

That's my point. If you can say that you believe in no way can the HULK speak without it being "dumb" you lack the creative mind to pull it off. It doesn't mean the movie director or script writer can't.
That's where you're wrong i've said I think he should speak, many times. Not just this thread but any thread where people are talking about him speaking in the sequel over the last few years.
I've said he should speak, just should not have alot of dialogue. Having an anti hero talk alot really isn't good for that character. I can't think of one anti-hero who has worked with chatter. Clint Eastwood had it right(with his man with no name trilogy), less is more. Clint did the same with Dirty Harry. Mel Gibson was the same with his Mad Max films. Max wasn't chatty. He spoke when he wanted to.
As for the director and script writer, neither has shown any skill that would give anyone confidence in their abilities.
Transporter(1&2) and Unleashed are pretty basic films.
Jason Statham and Jet Li(respectively) had alot to do with why they were successful. They would looked like usual b grade action film fare without them.
And Zak is a random element, you said you liked X-men 3, I find that odd. Since it just shat derisively all over comic continuity. The guy is a glorified hack. He said it was a natural progression for Wolverine to take over the team. Since when?
As always the proof is in the pudding. Even more so when they seem largely ignorant of the comic Hulk, and much more fans of the tv show. Which was H.I.N.O. giving me even more concern. :doom:
Ions notes it's all empty speak till some actual official information surfaces:marv:

X2 and X3 where both great.

I don't even know why I'm trying to have a serious conversation with someone who has an avatar like yours. Anyone who looks at women like objects obviously has nothing of importance to say.
kiss me my ass . THe Avvy is just an avy dumbass. Hey, you liked X3, good for you, but alot of people disagree with you. You want the Hulk to sound like a ****** and say s**ty one liners when he's fighting, great, i dont. But hey, they do it in the comics right, so it cant go wrong ...

Well I have to say your avatar is giving me the creeps... but oh well, I guess it's the age...

See people have this attitude about certain costumes because they didn't do it. People had the same attitude towards Spidey's costume. "IT HAS TO BE CHANGED!!" "IT'LL LOOK STUPID!" "MOVIES AND COMICS ARE DIFFERENT"

Ok, so I forgot to add SHINY yellow spandex...
Even so, I disagree with you. If they gave Wolverine that costume, it wouldn't suit him at ALL. He has a dark past, and he's a grumpy, dark, character...how he can possibly wear a mask and a yellow suit? Even if it's Dark yellow. Yellow is VERY attractive. The mutants are suposed to remain incognito (although a woman with white hair, a guy with a huge visor and a guy with blue fur is quite eye-catching-anyways) How can they possibly wear yellow and blue suits?
They gave Wolverine that colour in the comic because IT IS a comic. This is the movie we're talking about and its aim is to try to touch with reality. And please, a bit of dignity. (yeah I know I'm actually repeating what you said)
Peter Parker was searching for a wrestling suit. So he used a bright colour like the rest of the wrestlers.
Superman used the blue, yellow and red to distinguish himself between the others- he's unique. It's not a load of people with the same suit at the same time-just himself. And he has respect because everyone in Metropolis know he's a livesaver and whatever. But The X-Men don't have respect from nobody (up until now  I hated X3 heh)

I agree. The Hulk needs to talk. Only when he needs to though.

I find this odd. You (and a few others here) can ***** about Zak taking a dump on X-Men continuity but out of the same mouth, praise the changes Ang made to the Hulk. Deeming them necessary. He needed to be that tall. The Gamma Bomb would not have worked. I know you were introduced to the Hulk in Angs movie Ions but still and all. I'm a firm believer in that those changes are the reason we're three years out and still counting.

thats simple, Ang's changes were actually good ;)

X3 sucked cause of 2 things, the films before it and Fox wanting this to be the last movie.

How many times do i have to say this to people Zak Penn DID NOT WRITE X2, he wrote a treatment which was vastly different to the finished product. Penn's X2 had Sentinels that were human sized, Beast, Angel, no Nightcrawler, NO Pheonix scene's and he thought the opening Nightcrawler attack on the whitehouse would be too corny. And X3 is a piece of ****, dont even get me started on that.

yeah, the art looks like crap, not my taste but the story, i'm lookling forward to. Is it like the movie or is it something like a mix between both?

Yeah I don't like the art either. It's an "Up-date" of the Hulks origin. Similar to TIH #1 but set in todays climate. If only.......................

No. Not at all. What I was getting at is my pal Ang. Only if. Look at that and tell me it wouldn't have worked.

Damn right I was, I ask you this. Was Hulk in the Hulk? I've seen lots of HM forum posters admit Hulk was in the film(ala Bruno the most memorable one ;) ). Even if you didn't like the height changes, and the changes in origin(although most of those people don't like the official continuity issue 0 drama to begin with). Atleast you got Hulk.
Because I sure as **** haven't seen any of the X-men in a movie yet. Just pale imitations. As true to the characters from the comics as the Hulk tv series was to Hulks comics. :p

Rick Jones as of 2003 when Hulk came out was tied into Captain America license. So it was never happening. Not then anyway. No reason they can't mold Harper into that role is there? Not that they will.
They(writer/director) probably have no idea who Rick Jones is(not being in the tv series, they are comic ignorant as far as I can tell). As for Igor... the height of the cold war it was a good idea. But today? Maybe if he was Chinese or Iranian or something. Hollywood loves to update things in such simple ways.
And you must of read me saying I would be happy to see a true to the comic movie. I still don't think it'll happen. This is hollywood we are talking about, probably simpler for them to trot out a movie that alludes more to the tv series than the comics. Not exactly oozing artistic integrity. :down :confused:
Your still lucky to see Hulk. Even if he was too big. :marv:
