I'm not a big Ames fan but last night was a really good show. And Ames is freaking hot, man she's extremely fit.

I liked the conflict with the group sort of vetting Ames and deciding if she was worth keeping or not.

The interaction with Guerrero, Winston, and Chance was better this week. I liked the scene with them at the end, drinking their scotch and reflecting how things had change before Ames and Ilsa came in.

Guerrero brought the NICE DRESS line back. Loved that.

They really seem to be pushing the sexual tension with Ilsa and Chance a lot.

Indira Varma's not coming off as attractive to me as I used to think she was. For her brief appearances on Torchwood, I always thought she was mighty fine, but now not so much. I loved Guerro's quiet lamentation over having to share the good stuff with the ladies.

My hope is that now, things can really kick into high gear, especially with audience fave Baptiste appearing, and having to team up with Chance. Yeah, it's a cliche (having the recurring enemy team up with the show's protagonist), but Baptiste is a fun enough character, and whatever keeps Lennie James employed, I'm all for it.

The show needs to catch a serious upswing in the ratings before the break, though.

i quite liked the Winston & Guerraro Vs the Stargate dude fight...

3 weeks in and I'm even more convinced now that the writers on the show have no idea how to write effectively for women. Most notably is Ms Pucci coming off as nothing but annoying, not at all like the world famous philanthropist she should be. Their attempts at making her seem authoritative comes off as *****y.

Not a bad episode so though.

I don't see it that way at all. She's just overcompensating because she's getting freaked out now that she realizes what the job really requires.

Everything the team is doing is completely foreign to her, and pretty much goes against the grain of how she believes people should act. I mean, her whole life has been dedicated to helping people, but now she's in a group of killers who still kill when necessary.

When they saved her in the first episode, she didn't realize what the team really had to do to get the job done. Now that she's essentially responsible for everything that happens, and she started to see first hand just how dirty things get, it freaked her out. Winston has been doing this for years, and he still gets uncomfortable with the stuff they have to do. Mrs. Pucci has pretty much led a (relatively) sheltered life, and is having trouble dealing with the way things are (which is very different form the way she expected them to be). But based on the end of last night's episode, it seems like she's going to try and give the guys the slack they need and ride things out.

I don't really have a problem with the way the women characters are written. Performing for Ames, sorta.

But in the first season you had Barnes who was a strong character.

I still want the old opening theme back.

Personally I'd get rid of Pucci and Ames and bring back the hot computer chick from season one...and the hot FBI agent.

Unfortunately she's on No Ordinary Family now.

Although, seeing the FBI agent, Guerrero, and Ames having to work together would be hilarious.

Autumn Reeser's character made the most since to actually stick around and be on the team full time. It sucks that she is on No Ordinary Family because I think that she would play both roles that Ames and Pucci are playing now. Like Pucci she could question their methods and be their conscious. Like Ames she could be a female on the team to add some estrogen.

Well more than anything she's a tech a hacker and a computer expert which is a role the team could've used. Guerrero pretty much filled in the role that Ames is apparently doing.

I liked this weeks ep, a bit of dodgy editing in the action aside it was a cool heist and it gave Ames a bit of depth. Was the guy playing Brody in 'Chase' the other week?

dunno, but 'Chicago' is in SGU atm...

What was the song used when Ames and Brody were talking at the pier right near the end?

Funny but I thought she looked ragged on Torchwood but fine as hell on Rome. I think she looks better on HT than she did on Torchwood. Not quite as fine as she did on Rome, but still attractive.

This does make a lot of sense, though I don't mind Pucci or Ames. However, I do miss Emmanuelle Vaugier.

I'm loving the new season! But I'm still hating Ilsa Pucci. All the new toys and furniture don't make up for her waddling in like a mother hen clucking up everything. I might have been able to tolerate it if she wasn't so damn annoying while doing it. What happened to her being an "absentee" boss like she promised??

Does anyone know if there's any improvement in the ratings? I'm hoping this Bapiste episode gets people that jumped ship to return. I think they should add more comic characters to the show. It could boost ratings. Lady Shiva... King Faraday... DC has a lot of underused spy characters that could work on this show.

I definitely agree with adding characters like that. But I think that's just not the direction they want to go in using canon characters. Someone should talk to Will Hackner and Geoff Johns about it.

Great episode this week. Ames absence was a welcome one. I think Pucci added a lot to the episode this week. Guerrero doing the tech work was hilarious. I especially enjoyed his line about a lot of productive things have happened from holding a gun to a guy's face.

Baptiste is one of my favorite characters in the show. He's officially morphed from villian to frenemy/anti-hero mode. I thought it was pretty interesting that Chance was actually sincere in offering Baptiste an out, but Baptiste refused which I was happier with honestly.

Too bad the ratings just aren't quite getting up there. I mean even with the changes this is still a great show. Oh well. I didn't really have much in the way of expectations after this season. So if this is the last hope they can do some cool stuff at the end.

Hopefully it can get some summer eps at the least.

Between James' acting (so many brits on this damn show; him, both Varma AND Montgomery both!, etc.) and the writing of his character, you really do get the sense that he really does miss working with Chance. And now he's struggling with that and the envy of realizing that the Old Man always favored Chance over him. A fun episode all around. Pucci having to seduce Capt. Harmon was priceless (and having it backfire when he cornered her for a date, which by the end of the episode, she didn't seem to mind as much as she did in the moment!)

Who played Pucci's friend Susan Connors? Because she was hot too.

That was awesomeness. Guerrero could damn near carry the show by himself.

The 'Chicago' actor has a twitter, i asked him how much of that fight he did....

he replied he got to do everything but going through the wall... they wouldn't allow him to do that lol

At this point the show is pretty much guaranteed to not last after this season. Unless the Idol lead doesn't help it....its done.
