It doesn't even feel like it's been a year, with the craziness, placing the blame on everyone and everything, and Kanye's infamous, "G.W. doesn't care about black people" statement. The look that Mike Myers gives him is still a classic to this day, like his famous double take. Just doesn't feel like its been that long.

I may be reading too many DC comics, but when I read the title to this thread, I imagined it being about Hurricane Katrina coming back and being less of a d**k and working better with the police to make a better Gotham

Time HAS gone by fast....seems to go faster as I get older :( It really does seem like only a month ago that I was watching Kanye West giving that statement.

It really doesn't feel like a year. Last year I had this girl in our WOT meeting come from New Orleans. She had the accent & she told us about that day. I felt bad for her.:( We only saw her that one day though.

Yeah. If you have insomnia it goes even faster. I do love those rare times when time seems to go really, really slow though.

Oprah re-aired a show of her having homes built and furnished for the victims. Always a tearjerker watching such true appreciation. :(

It really hit home, put a lot things in perspective about race and how well equipped this government is. It's sad to see how some of New Orleans still hasnt recovered.

It's gonna be a real perspective september. One year ago it was Katrina. 5 years ago 9/11, Tupac's death 10 years ago....

It's been a year and I believe some neighbourhoods are still sitting destroyed. That's really inexcusable. I'm looking forward to Spike Lee's documentary.

A year has passed and New Orleans still looks like its in shambles.Expect this to last for a very, very long time.
