Jesus was born on Christmas Eve -at night. It's just that in the old days, the day ended at sunset, or 6pm; not 12am, as is now the custom.
 
He's more likely 2008 or something b/c they screwed up with recording the dates.
 
The Church picked the 25th because of the winter solstice

i saw a big documentary about it on pbs or soemthing...and they have records of star charts from journals from people associated with jesus' birth or something like that...and according to the star charts, it puts his birth around april 17, give or take a few days.
