This can't look good for the movie. Once more, Lionsgate has moved it off its second release date (September 13) to another (January 24, 2014).

January is indeed a dumping ground, but at the same time the film may have a better chance then. Haven't most of the Underworld movies come out in January? What other competition would it have? September also seems like kind of a hard month to sell.

Yes, the last three have. And I guess since horror/R-rated fare tends to fare better in January like Mama and the aforementioned Underworld films, I, Frankenstein could do decent numbers there.

Isnt this the 2nd time this movie has been pushed back now? That cant be a good sign, getting pushed back once is bad enough. I still have hope for the movie, but that hope is slowly fading. I still love the premise of course.

Aaron Eckhart isn't really a great lead actor. The concept alone makes it sound direct to dvd.

Most people tend to loathe Branagh's film for whatever reason, but I've always enjoyed it.

I haven't seen a lot of Branagh's films where he is actually in them, but I never had a problem with him in Frankenstein. Just curious, how did he get on your nerves? Was it just the delivery of his lines?

I just found his performance a bit over-the-top. It felt indulgent to me... I just kept thinking that if someone else was directing it, they would have reeled him in a bit more. But since he was calling the shots, he allowed himself to chew the scenery.

Normally I like him though. But I didn't care for him in Frankenstein.

There were times before DeNiro's Monster showed up that the movie was a bit goofy, but once the ball gets rolling I really enjoyed it.
