The Dark Knight I guess joker just applies make-up after all

GOOD! Ideally he's kept as a surprise for the film itself...

im hoping that too.....it's just it's weird how the joker stuff keeps getting out but there haven't been any major two-face leaks.
i think it leans a bit more towards two-face having his small part at the end of the film

Yes, it's makeup, but there's obviously something else going on here. In the cop pic, you can see white on his face. It's subtle, but it's there. It's especially prominent on the tip of his nose. Also, his hands are VERY splotchy, as if he's got a skin disease or chemical burns. This was noticeable in the Empire pic, but you can get a better look at them in the masked nurse pic, especially if you zoom in.

This is one thing that has me very perplexed, especially since it's shown up in both the Empire pic, and now, the hospital pic...which are 2 completely unrelated events. At first I thought it was really just the make-up being smeared all over him because of Batman beating him to tell, but now...not so sure.

It could very well be skin damage (no doubt from certain chemicals), but why go through the trouble of subtle details if it isn't to be explored (unless, it WILL be and we don't know it yet)?

the nurse, well kinda expected cause we did hear reports about it, but actually seeing it made me laugh

The jokerized batfake was awesome, considering i didn't think we'd see any form of permaclowned victims in this film, but that picture got me hyped again

The officer just raises more of a debate about his skin really, and whether or not that truly is his face that we see

I'm hyped for this movie!

Really Really digging Nolan/Heath's joker interpretation. Very different but by god, it works!

3 things to chew on:

1)lets not forget that other pic of him in the cop suit(he's in the car; pic taken by a fan) where his paint was very very faint.

2)the new leaked pic. look at his lower lip....Something very very weird going on. heath said his prosthetic covers his WHOLE bottom lip. But why? Its starting to make me think this is a deformity of some sort.

3) He still has panda eyes. So this jells with the costume designer and other poeple saying that the make-up 'enhances' his appearance (he has very pale skin,a big mouth gash/deformity, and dark black circles around his eyes and nasty hair ALREADY .

he applies the make up to enhance what he already sees in the mirror.

That makes plenty of sense to me. It does well to the theatricality element that Nolan established in the closing scene of Batman Begins (essentially, with Gordon telling us as much).

Of course, I can't really comment on these pictures because I haven't seen them, but it sounds to gel with that and the initial impression I've had from all the other leaked/viral media that we've received.

Just seen a few of the "leaked pictures", and I am completely blown away by how awesome Heath looks without the facepaint. It's quite, quite unbelievable, because I always felt that Heath looked great as the Joker because he was disguised beneath all of the make-up, and yet even without the stuff, the Joker and Heath Ledger are a million miles apart.

He looks purely evil. Perhaps I am automatically inclined to view Heath as evil in Joker-mode, because of everything that I know about the character, but when I see Heath without make-up, I should be seeing a less dangerous, scary and "evil" man, but I'm not seeing that. I'm seeing someone who is just as evil, if not moreso!

I really didn't think that I could love Nolan's handling of the character any more than I already do, and yet with every new picture I see, the more I love Heath's Joker.

It's very weird, all the background stuff is colored, like a storybook. Doesn't make sense. There must be a reason for that filter. The cop pic is pretty awesome though.

Yeah, I don't think they're fake, simply because to come up with every detail in those pics (i.e. the context, the poses, the minutia of details) would've taken way too much time, and would not look as clear as it does. It looks like they took the base stills and added the effects later, but there's no clear reason why they would do that. Also, the dead impostor is much too detailed to be fake, right down to the body armor we've seen previously.
