I was just sitting here, thinking to myself quietly, and I got hit with a horrible thought. With Oliver Queen owning the controlling interest in LuthorCorp, and with the board dead, do you think the writers are dumb enough to never have Lex regain control of the company, instead turning him into a career criminal along the lines of Hackman/Spacey who just happens to know the true identity of Superman? God that would make me sick, I hate the Hackman/Spacey version of Lex, thats why the Smallville Lex has been such a breath of fresh air.

And keep in mind, Lex has lost his company in the comics.....NOOOOOOOO:csad:

I personally like the cartoon version who is an Evil Genius Billionaire who views Superman as a unwilling partner who is good for business and can turn lemons into lemonaid.

Oh I love the TAS version as much as anyone:cwink:. Your talking to the guy who wants the next writer/director of a Superman movie to sit down and watch every single TAS episode, and use that as a template.

I'm all for Superman 0: Krypton

Not sure though if that has wide mass movie appeal. But it does give the viewer a chance to get the bad taste of Superman Returns out of there system and sets up the rest of the series.

The next film is more than likely going to be a complete reboot, although I have not ruled out the Smallville cast being featured in the next flick, I honestly think that is more likely than a Returns sequel, don't let anyone fool ya, there will be no sequel to Returns.

I figure Ollie taking over Luthorcorp is going to be a way to dissolve Luthorcorp into Queen Industries and have Lex recreate Lexcorp.

Yea that could be a logical idea their syncos in the future lex returns and gets ahold of funds and recreates luthorcorp as lexcorp.

Yeah, i'm sure Lex has some funds set up in some off shore accounts somewhere. Besides that, It would kinda be nice if Luthor came back and built an empire out of nothing. A couple dollars and a genius business sense.

yea its something that could be written out very easily.

Technically yes but you know they wont have lex dead for good. They can easily write of off saying the lex we saw wasnt really lex but just a clone and the real lex is actually in a different hidden location.

In my opinion, Lex should have broken off from Lionel around season three and created LexCorp from scratch, and then dissolved LutherCorp into LexCorp once Lionel met his demise.....I'm just saying, thats how I would have done things.

Its possible.
They are sort of going the rout of the old comics (or the movie rout)
killing off his parents, making Krypton seem cold and emotionless.
I guess its possible.

yea it would have been nice if we got to see lexcorp last longer then what was it in season 2 1-2 episodes.

Personaly I wounder if this how they're gonna set Olli up to lose all of his money like he did in the comics. If Lex doesn't stay dead you can them easily having Lex find a loop hole that states that the Luthor Corp sale wasn't legal and some how even takes control of Queen Industries.

I doubt they'll do the fall of Oliver in the Smallville series. After all, they've pretty much set him up as their Bruce Wayne replacement. His fortune can be used as a plot device more than being poor.

You do know that's how Lex has been written since the first arc of Superman/Batman right? I mean Bruce Wayne owns most of Lexcorp and Lex's has been out of it for years. He just happened to be allowed to keep his money but Lex has been a full time Criminal Mastermind even before for IC.

Keep in mind they are taking Lex back to his silver age roots in the comics so it wouldn't be surprise if SV did the same thing.

Taking Lex back to his silver age roots is crap.

i dont think silver age lex works in today's world.

Not really because post-crisis Lex is still there he just doesn't run Lexcorp anymore which is good IMO because it doesn't handicap him or the writers anymore on just how involved Lex can be with plots.

John Shea ftw.

Agreed IMO best live Lex ever and he played Lex so well I didn't mind the wasn't bald. I just worked even better with how he was playing him. I would have loved to have seen him come back for a longer stay like how he did in season 3.

what is a even scarier thought is if they pull a huge recton at the end by having everyone except Clark's mind erased of his very existence or tampered with in order to make his disguise with glasses credible and to fit the so called mythos.
