I tend to side with the filmmaker when this kind of thing happens but Trank seems like he is such a dick, and apparently out of touch with reality (his email about the movie being better than 99% of comic book films is just priceless).
That E-mail, oh boy is that embarrassing.

This is the only comic adaptation he'd ever seen:

He was probably still wrong.

Yeah and that email shows that if the film had been successful he would have claimed full responsibility but because everyone hated it it was nothing to do with him.

Trank strikes me as your typical spoiled brat rich kid. He's a petulant man child.

He seems very arrogant and egotistical to think that his movie was going to be better than 99% of CBMs. He shouldn't make that kind of boast when everyone else has judged it to be worse than 99% of comic book films.

Whoever sent that e-mail reply to Trank desrves a pat on the back. From interviews I could imagine it could of been Kebbel. He seemed reasonably self aware in interviews that this wouldn't be taken well.

Oh my God, just read the thing about telling the actors when to breathe and blink. Why hire actors if you won't let them act? I wonder how flat their performances truly are now. That sounds insane.

And by the way, are the deniers here yet? I am sure they are ready to admit they were wrong.

Now their big thing is telling fans their opinion doesn't matter (with the occasional nonsense about the mythical Trank cut).

He didn't tweet anything new I was still talking about his tweet where he disowned the film on opening night.

Some of the deniers are still denying, I became exasperated with The Guard so I had to stop talking to him about the film.

What? :funny:

How about the opinions of the general audiences and critics? THR running this story because this isn't a thing?

Sorry SPIDEY. Thankfully I have Star Wars news to avoid such nonsense.

I have a strong hunch that it was Teller.

I hope it's Bell just because he's so quiet. That'd make it hit harder for me . Imagine that: even the guy who doesn't seem to say much roasts you.

I hope it was Dan Castellanetta, and I hope Trank read it in the Homer Simpson voice.

A giant billion dollar studio is taking the time to fight a PR battle with a one hit wonder film director.

Get your junk together Fox and write better scripts.

He definitely understood Doom from some of the things he said and it's a shame he wasn't able to play him.

I think he could make a great Doom if allowed to do it right, and if Marvel brought him on to play Doom in the MCU, I'd be behind that 100%.

So who out of the five replied to Trank's stupidity?

That's more interesting than his "great comic book movie".

Trank = self absorbed, out of touch tool
Fox= petty, clueless, corporate ****es
