um . . . okay. :whatever:

stupid smiley's or eye rollers aren't necessary... it's a good point. If, like you said, Batman can take both of his students at the same time... then he really sucks as a trainer. Or are they just completely incapable of his amazing potential as a fighter, detective, ninja, escape artist, acrobat, samurai, cowboy, and astronaut? Jeez enough Bat-sucking is enough already. The character is cool because it's a great character, not because it's Superman in a bat costume. :whatever: :cwink:  :woot: :oldrazz: :csad:

You don't understand the concept of Master and student do you?

haha it's you who doesn't understand the concept... the CONCEPT is that in time, the student becomes the master. EVEN WITH BATMAN
A master never teaches his students everything. You just want to see the guy go down. As much as I like Nightwing he and Robin just don't have what it takes to bring him down. And he doesn't need to be "Superman in a bat costume" to take out those two.

then he sucks as a trainer

You suck at logic.

That's like saying Yoda sucks as a trainer because Obi-Wan and Dooku couldn't beat him.

Yoda's much older and wiser than them, he's had much more experience thus giving him the upperhand. The same applies for Batman as a mentor teaching Drake and Grayson.

why would batman have to be beat by grayson or drake? that wouldnt really ever happen unless bruce went psycho and started killing.

now if it was something like "who should take batman's place after he's too old?" i would say tim drake. dick grayson will probably stay nightwing; he's sorta his own hero. i see tim drake as batman jr.

you all suck at life, suckers. suck that. I love Batman... but I love characters who move forward, who learn lessons... and we never learn more than we do when we fail or we're humbled. Batman needs that too... not a lot, not more than a hand full of times... but he does need it, or he's just an annoying cliche.

Star Wars??? You're referencing Star Wars? Yoda has a higher "micro chloreon" count than the others, so the force is stronger with him... or somethign like that, right? You're comparing Batman/Nightwing to YODA/OBI?!?! Batman is not in a league above everybody else like Yoda is. I mean, I think it's cool if he sort of is but eventually the master is surpassed... just not in Star Wars.

I can name a few women who would like Batman to go down.

His analegy applies. Batman is a league above Grayson and leagues above Drake. And Batman needs to be humbled? What do you call what happened to him at the age of 8? Was he not humbled enough? Isn't that why he is who he is?

I still want to see a story where Drake and Grayson team up to take him down.
now THAT WOULD BE ****ING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tim would be the strategian while dick would ultimately be the more agile...

Are you kidding me? He was humbled once at age 8 and never again? Hell yeah what happened during his childhood is part of who he is... it's AMAZING and a great piece of character work. Still, you have got to be crazy to think that Batman was ever meant to be unbeatable on every level... that's something the fans did to him. At first, he was a detective in a bat costume... he even lost physical fights. Slowly, as he became more popular, he was somehow not allowed to be out done. He all of a sudden was the best at EVERYTHING and could do anything with the right amount of "prep time". I've seen Batman take a direct hit from non-powered characters before... it happens all the time. He's not invulnerable. Fans just don't realize that being a fan of a character does not mean forcing him into God-hood. It's WOlverine from the 80s and 90s all over again.

Batman has been humbled. Not just when he was 8. Read The Cult.

lol

Tim Drake

Though Tim is usually depicted as the better detective, I think the obvious "successor" of Batman would be Dick Grayson. Most writers portray him as on par or almost on par to Batman in his fighting skills and better at acrobatics. And didn't some novel or comic say that he knew the secret to human flight or some ****?

What about that crack head who f**ked him in the ass in that fan film?

I do think it's possible for Grayson and Tim to both take down bats without it reflecting bad on either one of them...

perhaps not now but in a few years time, definitely...

it's all good crack...

Although it's possible bruce has not yet taught them everything, I think with youth on their side they have the ability to be inivative and better adapt/react to situations rather than hoping preparation would get them out of everything. Besides, they know how to get to bruce emotionally that migh give them a psychological advantage a large proportion of his rogue's gallery wouldn't have.
