Why is albert returning with a japanese type gimmick and a japanese name? I understand he's been in japan for years. But he's white...

As soon as I saw the tattoos I knew it was him. I figure it's just a cosmetic thing and he'll come out in ceremonial armor and stuff.

just watch the rocks promo on my lunch break - now that is a Rock promo, I see a few of you complained about the philly steak up the candy ass, but he was pandering to the crowd for that, it wasnt for the TV audience and thats fine - the rest was great imo (except for the second batch of impressions which felt out of place) showed why this match is personal to hm with saying how he wants to be remembered as the best of all tme and the only way to do that is by beating the new "best in the world" - has Cena said anything along the lines of wanting to beat the Rock to show he is a worthy front man?

Huh, just realized it's been over 2 years since Dr. Death Steve Williams died. Well, in remembrance, here's a match. Vs. Kenta Kobashi from September of 1993.

- PWInsider reports that there had been recent discussions about moving the FCW TV show to another market, somewhere in the Orlando area, so that could explain why the Brighthouse Network show is ending.

They add that some WWE sources have scoffed at the idea of WWE actually shutting down FCW. FCW's daily operations began and ended yesterday with no notice to talents or staff and operations kicked off today with no announcement.

As of now, nothing has been said to talents or staff but that does not mean the reports of FCW shutting down are false. The news was originally broke by F4Wonline.com on Monday night.

PWInsider hasn't confirmed the reports but say that doesn't mean there isn't fire where there's smoke. WWE sources indicate that Vince McMahon has been upset recently over the WWE talent pool not being over and not being ready. Shortly after that, Ty Bailey was released. Bailey had been heading up developmental.

I wish Steve Williams had just beat Ed Ferrara's ass mercilessly on live tv.

WWE's Reaction to Shane Douglas Stunt at RAW, WWE Live Events Swapped

Posted by Marc Middleton on 03/20/2012

- The WWE live event in Savannah, Georgia has been moved from June 2nd to June 3rd.

The show in Augusta, Georgia has also been moved - from June 3rd to June 2nd.

- Most people within WWE did not know Shane Douglas was in the building for last night's RAW Supershow until they read it online. Douglas was trying to unmask and be seen on TV but it didn't work out that way.

Security, believing Douglas had sneaked into the show, detained Douglas as he tried to get an ECW chant going and walked from the arena out into the concourse. The people that were with Douglas exited the building and once he produced a ticket for security to see, they had to let him exit as well.

Douglas flew back home to Pittsburgh last night after RAW. The stunt was done as a way to promote his upcoming Extreme Reunion project.

PWInsider just updated their story and reports that sources within WWE state there are no plans to shutdown WWE's developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling. The show on the Brighthouse Network is scheduled to end however.

Stay tuned as this story develops.

News on the Cena vs. Rock Rematch, Flair-WWE-TNA Update, Brodus Clay

Posted by Marc Middleton on 03/20/2012

- Despite being advertised, Brodus Clay was at last night's RAW Supershow in Philadelphia but not used.

- John Cena appeared on the Preston & Steve Show in Philadelphia this week to promote RAW and WrestleMania. Cena mentioned that his favorite wrestler of all-time is Hulk Hogan.

- WWE made no Hall of Fame announcements on RAW last night so the final name or names should come next week, unless they make the announcement online. Regarding Ric Flair appearing, word now is that Flair may not be appearing on TV but will definitely be in attendance. Apparently WWE and TNA are having negotiations for Flair to appear. It's said that TNA is not asking WWE for a lot in return.

- This past weekend, WWE officials were discussing a rematch between The Rock and John Cena for WrestleMania 29 in New Jersey. There is definitely interest in holding the rematch next year but it will depend on how this year's match turns out.

Christian Discusses Edge's Induction, WrestleMania 29 and His Injury

Posted by Marc Middleton on 03/20/2012

- Christian recently spoke with Patch.com to promote tonight's SmackDown tapings in Newark. Here are some highlights:

His most recent injury:
"It was without a doubt the most frustrating injury I have had in my career. It was a high-ankle sprain. It was very frustrating. I tore some ligaments as well and had to rehab it for seven weeks."

Edge's WWE Hall of Fame induction:
"He deserves it. He’s had an amazing career and when you sit back and realize what he accomplished over his career, you can put him right up there with the very best in the history of the business."

WrestleMania 29 in New Jersey and the cold weather:
"I have an advantage because I am a Canadian. I think I’m used to the cold weather, so (the weather next year) might fit me pretty good. It will be cool, I know everyone is looking forward to bringing WrestleMania back to that area. It’s going to be awesome being at that stadium and that area and hopefully it won’t smell or anything like that."

Daniel Bryan Discusses WrestleMania, Working as a Heel & Winning the Belt

Posted by Marc Middleton on 03/20/2012

- World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan recently spoke with TheDailyWorld.com to promote WrestleMania 28. Here are some highlights:

Winning the World Heavyweight Title:
"It was crazy. I've been doing this for 12 years and a lot of people thought I couldn't succeed at this. It was vindication, that I reached the top. When people are doubting you that much, sometimes you doubt yourself. It was more retrospective — I can't believe I went through all of that and I'm at this moment."

Being a heel and a vegan:
"I never thought (being a vegan) would turn me into a bad guy. The way we've (incorporated it) it has been kind of fun. It is the personality that makes people hate me — winning my matches by disqualification, cheap ways to win, claiming I'm a role model because I don't eat meat. It all gets under people's skins."

"I've always loved being a bad guy; there's something more fun about it. It always makes me smile. Now, I'll hear my music and (the crowd) instantly starts booing. I have to keep myself from laughing, because it makes me happy."

WrestleMania 28:
"I'm not nervous about the match, but I'm excited about the experience. We're not afraid to hit each other. Some guys like to fight. I like to fight. Sheamus was a bouncer for years. There's something about being in front of a large crowd and getting hit. It fires you up. We want to steal the show, even with Rock vs. Cena (on the card)."

More on the Reports of FCW Shutting Down and Vince McMahon

I really don't want Cena vs Rock II as next years Mania main event, I mean isn't the tag line for this match "Once in a lifetime"?

It seemed odd to me that Rock has spent most of the last year claiming Cena isn't even a real mans man, and then all of a sudden beating him will make Rock the best ever?

Huh, just realized it's been over 2 years since Dr. Death Steve Williams died. Well, in remembrance, here's a match. Vs. Kenta Kobashi from September of 1993.

Is this the one where he keeps dropping poor Kobashi on his head?

It was confirmed on Raw last night that rapper Flo Rida will play Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to the ring for his match with John Cena at Wrestlemania 28. Machine Gun Kelly is slated to play Cena to the ring during his entrance as well.

Flo Rida is better than Pitbull. Besides, I like some of Flo Rida's older songs.

Hrm....so after RAW, I think it's safe to say:

Rock - 2
Cena - 2

and I am assuming Rock will win next week's RAW which will then have Cena win at WM. Sad how WWE can be so predictable.

Don't forget Captain Charisma!

But yes indeed HHH and Undertaker are the last two big stars of that era to be so talented, so successful, and to compete at such a high level.

Although HHH saying their careers are parallel does amuse me since The Phenom was taking The WWF title off Hulk freaking Hogan while HHH was probably mopping up piss in the bathrooms of Killer Kowalskis training school.

Damn I forgot Christian:doh: I've really been enjoying his recent interactions with Long /Laurenitis.

It's insane how long Undertaker has been on the roster. I think you could say HBK and Taker are almost parallel but it's really a stretch to compare him with Triple H. They do have HIAC and besides their short tenures in WCW are essentially lifers for WWE. I thought it was a good promo last night but they do tend to rewrite history a bit , even going so far to completely ignore WM17.

Cena has said this match means everything to him. I think he is saying he has to beat Rock to prove himself. Last night was the first time Rock said he 'has' to beat Cena to prove himself the best. I liked the promo and mention of legends. Although Rock typically panders, he's great at it. I'm from Boston so seeing him cut promos around the city was actually enjoyable for me.

I don't think this match needs to take up two Wrestlemania main events in a row. Let someone else have it next year. One time is fine but any more than that means what the boys in the back are saying is even more true.

If Rock and Cena MUST have a rematch let it be at Summerslam or Survivor Series. Even Rock and Hogan had their rematch at Now Way Out.

Their match at WM 28 needs to end as cleanly as possible. Its not fair to make people wait a whole year only to give a dusty finish then (if they have a rematch) make them wait ANOTHER year for a definitive outcome. Thats basically keeping people waiting for two year.

True. Triple H is close and the only guy on the current roster who you could compare and contrast with Taker on an equal level but Taker is really in a class by himself now. The only one who is Takers true equal in every way is Michaels but he's retired.

Michaels was there before Taker but he also took 4 years off from full time performing so they measure up well. The both came up during the territories years so they really were the last of that breed.

Michaels has always delivered in big time matches and his longevity speaks for itself. They both have far more WM appearances than anyone. Same as Undertaker.

But Undertakers WWE longevity is unique. He's the only man to truly transcend eras in WWE. From the tail end of the Rock 'n' Wrestling/Hogan Era, to The New Generation/Hart era, to the Attitude/Austin Era, to the post MNW years, to The Cena/PG era, to today The Undertaker has seen it all.

His promo comparing beating Cena Austin and Hogan was the best thing Rock has said so far to build up this match even if Cena isn't quite on those guys level. Cena talking about how great the Rock is is equally important. You HAVE to put over your opponent on the mic some way to make a match like this feel huge. Rock and Austin did the same thing at WM17 Hogan and Warrior did the same thing at WM6. This should look like an epic clash of two titans.

I wonder if anyone told Miz that WrestleMania 2 was held in 1986?

In that top gif, it shows Shane Douglas ripping his shirt off and throwing it into the crowd. Too funny.

Im sorry but Flo Rida playing the rock to the ring?? Really?!

I mean fine have him play at the event but play the rock to the ring? The fans don't want to hear some overplayed pop (not Hip Hop) song, they want to hear the epic music that creates HUGE pops every time it goes off!

Terrible decision IMO.

main event for smackdown will be

WWE champ CM Punk & Sheamus vs. World champ Daniel Bryan & The Miz.

Rock's WrestleMania theme should be We See You by TKO.

Maybe it might be a mix of the rock's theme with a flo rida song. It mixed together it could sound good.

I agree there should be a different main event next year. They could do Steve Austin vs. CM Punk next year if they want for the main event.

I wonder if the WWE has ever considered doing a WM like WM2 again, where it was done from separate locations. Since they still have 2 sets of titles, it might be worth considering again.

That would certainly be an interesting idea.

I'm all for having 1 world title and ending the brand split for good but this would be pretty sweet.

The show itself was done in 2 seperate locations? How they pull that off?
