Reading that it's like a bad Cena slogan comes to mind:

"Embrace the fakeness."

Just because it's widely known that it's fake that doesn't mean they should enter self parody territory. I mean if they can't have pride in what is supposed to be their centrepiece then I give up.

You shut your g*ddamn mouth Future :jedi I will not be compared to Cena!

:oldrazz:

I'm a lifelong Sting fan anyway :cwink: Long live the Franchise!

I think that Barrett can be a main eventer and Sheamus I see working either way. Don't know where they're going with Cesaro, though.

I expect Barrett to be a main eventer. He's got the heel charisma down perfectly. I can see him as an anti-face/tweener but never a full-on babyface.

I'm indifferent to Sheamus. Sometimes he's good, sometimes he's godawfully forced. But him and Ryback last night, that Sheamus I liked, wide-eyed and bloodthirsty. Give him that gimmick and he'll kill.

So I guess will have to pin our hopes on TNA to create a great looking world title someday. It's pretty obvious we're never getting a good new design from WWE again.

I don't even think their current world title belt is as good as their old one but its still miles better than Rocks bling belt. It looks a lot more simple and prestigious.

TNA's going with tradition when it comes to belt designs. The KO's title looks classy and not like the Barbie accessory that is the Divas title. Maybe Kelly Kelly should've been the first Divas champion instead of the Deadmans bonebox.

He's been lost in the shuffle a little bit (what can you do when Trips, Rock, Taker and Brock are pencilled in for the "money" matches at WM) but I'm just glad that he has gotten this far. Would never have thought he'd one of the company's top faces.

I'm a big fan of his. He's come a long way since his early days in WWE. His initial heel run was awful. His fluke TLC title win against Cena was awful. His feud with HHH did nothing for him. But he kept working hard.

After that he slowly but surely made big leaps with the quality of his work. He's a good worker and unique character and is only getting better. He's gotten some big breaks that most others on the roster don't get but hes never taken it easy but did everything he could to work hard and take advantage of those breaks.

oh John, John ,John John, John ,John

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Cena...seriously? The PG kiddie talk makes me want to barf. Boo boo face? Man he's also kayfabing pretty hard there. I don't think anyone over 8 will believe any of that. At least Bully Ray is a LOT funnier when he does it.

I'm fine with the WWE logo being a huge focus. The belt still sucks a** though. They could have done a better job of incorporating the WWE logo into a stronger better belt design.

The thing is, those days are done, and we need to get over it. It's the biggest open secret that

wrestling is fake!!!

But before that it was viewed as a legitimate sport and so the belts reflected that. But people are wiser now, and so why continue to play up the "sport" aspect of it when it is in fact "sports entertainment"?

People knew it was fake 25 years ago. But we still got a title that got treated with class and tradition. That has nothing to do with realness or fakeness. That has to do with how importantly they want to present their product and their champion. They still threat them like kind of a big deal so they should be presented as a big deal. Not wearing something that looks like it should be bouncing off a b****'s a** in a late night BET raps video.

And if people knowing it was fake and the sports aspect where factors lets get rid of referees...and rings...and title belts period. But I don't think they'll be getting rid of any of that any time soon.

Exactly. Its the WWE title not the P Diddy title. Hell since WMXXX is in New Orleans next year they may as well do the full Arquette and let Kanye West and his own little porn poon Kim K walk in as WWE champion while claiming Vince McMahon hates black people.

Yeah. I mean...lets just get rid of the three count while we're at it. Maybe do away with title belts all together and just go by wins and losses. Every story has to have STRUCTURE and a foundation to build on. A world and rules to operate in.

Rocky IV is an over the top movie about boxing and everyone knows its fake...but that doesn't mean it treats everything in the world of boxing as a farce. You didn't see Rocky putting the Issac Hayes JIVE n FUNK championship belt on Apollo's grave.

I like Sheamus as a worker but I preferred him as a heel. I'm still not sold on Barrett either, I just cannot see him above Ambrose as WWE's next top heel, I think him and Cesaro are in the same boat, both are big guys who can work, but they just haven't got a hook right now.

Barretts got the look, height, and mic skills but he's lacking in everything else. As a worker he's blah. But in WWE land you can still make it as long as you have the first three or hell even two of the three.

But Barrett is stil lacking a certain main eventer feel or magnetism. I think Sheamus even has more of it than him right now. That and Sheamus is big AND can work a lot better.

I stand corrected. :woot:

"The renders of far-out ideas and rejected concepts that Stanski revealed to us — which WWE.com will post on the site in the coming weeks "

I wouldn't be shocked if one of those designs is better than what we got.

Hopefully though, they are so bad we are happy we got what we got.

"And that’s exactly how WWE’s creative department views their finished work. As they see it, this is the definitive version of sports-entertainment’s most revered prize and the last one they will need to produce."

Oh god.

All TV is fake but you don't see the guys on NCIS or Hawaii Five-0 running around with pink guns winking at the camera and going "You know this isn't real" the idea is that within the world they operate in everything is real, so why not make a proper belt
This. A wrestler character's goal on these shows is to be a champion. So saying the show is fake so the character's goals don't matter is ridiculous. Do we cut other shows slack when they trivialize important story elements? No. The WWE Championship is supposed to symbolize excellence. Are we meant to believe as an audience that these characters would take pride in wearing something that looks like the new WWE Championship?

Barrett's definitely a bland worker. I could watch the first bout between him and Sheamus on Raw a while back but then they repeated the match at least 2 times.....not even Sheamus could make me watch those other 2 occasions. :o

This is one of the things I don't like about 3 hour Raws. They aren't only giving away bouts that could potentially be on PPV but are REPEATING them. Sheamus and Cesaro was one that really irked me.

Made another edit of the new title, adding some red leather behind the logo, think it helps the belt stand out more.

Simple change and makes it look a lot better, IMO

I guess color is needed in the background.

Like I said, I don't think it's as bad as other people think. I think more people will like it, including me, with time.

Heres a quick look at what a possible CM Punk version could be with the side plate logos.

I expect others to get custom ones also, unless this is a Smoking Skull deal.

The belt is better than what we had, but a far cry from the belts of the past. I think the two belts that look the best currently are the IC and world titles.

I hate this title for the same reasons that I hated the last one, so I doubt I'll ever like it.

- "Stone Cold" Steve Austin was asked about the Status of Tough Enough during an interview with KISW.com.

"I think that window is closed," remarked Austin. He also added that WWE "dropped the ball with Tough Enough."

- The February 15th episode of Smackdown did 2,682,000 viewers, down over 500,000 people from last week.

- Santino Marella commented on the status of his neck, writing on Twitter, "Neck procedure went well today in Pittsburg, shouldn't be too long now before I'm back in action, I'm hoping!"

Looks cool with the red background. I wonder if it's possible they could change that out as well depending on the champion.

waits for WWE to claim that the WWE Title is more prestigious than an Olympic gold medal.
