Besides the red head part, I don't see it. Besides, in the world of film, 18 year olds can't play 18 year olds. They have to play 13 year old girls, that way they can dress up in skimpy dresses and convincing men they're pedophiles.

they do need to act well but they do have to look somewhat like the comic i mean thats like having spider-man wearing a superman outfit but performing well as spider-man

I agree 100%, tobey can look alot better then he does in the spidey movies, ive seen him better looking. And he looks like Peter when he looks good looking. Raimi keeps trying to due the ditko feel and i think he needs to get out of that mode. I think the movies should evolve just like the comics. Lohan though to me definately looks like Romita's MJ, hell not only that but shes freaking living an almost parrallel life to MJ... shes got the hair, the classic eyes, the skin, the smile, the green eyes, the body, shes a party girl, shes an actress, and shes got the f*d up father. now tell me this isnt MJ?

he doesn't look like comic book Peter but it's not so way off that it's unacceptable. The reason why ppl are so hung up on MJ's looks is because KD is way off. On top of that she's not even attractive in these films not is her character even written or acted well.

YA and i hate it because Kirsten Dunst can look REALLY hot and can act really well... its just Kirsten as Mj looks half asleep and giddy, and she acts cheesey. Kirsten has it in her, its just i don't feel her heart is in this movie and in her character. Shes the type of "popular" girl in highschool who has grown up thinking comics are dorky yadda yadda yadda and i have never heard her researching MJ in the comics or anything of the sort, where as Jennifer Garner, Jessica Alba, Femke Jenssen (sp?), and even Halle Berry have been quoted as picking up the comics and researching there characters, and actually falling in love with there character in the process...
