The Amazing Spider-Man If Venom is used again, this is how he should look!

God no to all the monster Venoms, Ultimate Venoms, crazy tentacles Venoms, weird silly elastic underbite Venoms.

Spider-man 3 wasn't bad in its interpretation of Venom. That's not a bad starting point if they wanted to do antoher Venom. Especially the pic in this thread that shows him without the Venom head and reveals Eddie underneath. I don't mind if the next version of Venom has the longue tongue, but I don't want to see it hanging out his mouth all the time it would looks silly. I'd rather it only came out when he wanted to intimidate his opponent.

I think the films should not use Venom for as long as possible. Nothing against Venom he is a interesting character but the symbiote is an alien. Wouldn't it be best to have more "normal" villains first before getting to the "out there" stuff?

I personally like how Venom looked in in first appearance in Ultimate Spider-man. This monstrous being with a shifting shape. I also like that his tentacle had teeth on it makes seem almost randomly generated

That's a simple fix, have the suit be a product of "science gone wrong" like everyone of Spidey's villains. Really I've always hated the alien angle. I wish it would just be dropped

I have a feel that one of the reasons we're getting a reboot is in order to do Venom justice so they can produce a stand alone Venom movie/franchise. They've been planning that for many years and with what Sam Raimi and co. did to him in SM3...there's no good way of bringing him back and making that happen.

anyone else feel the same way?

The series' first villain is a doctor who turns into a reptile. We're starting out with crazy villains.

I don't hate the alien angle, I thought the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon did Venom very well. But yeah I think film wise "science gone wrong" is the best way to do Venom until we have at least three films in this new series, then I could see the alien angle working.

Yes but Venom is alien. :p Not a science project gone wrong.

Eh, it's still absurd. But I agree with you on not wanting Venom until atleast the third movie. I want the black suit done right before Venom shows up.

Personally, this is how I'd like to see the 3 films going.

Film 1-Lizard as the main villain with a Norman Osborn/Green Goblin arc as a side story setting up the second film.

Film 2-Green Goblin as the main villain. Peter works to not only defeat the Goblin himself but also prevent the Oz serum from ever being used again. As a cliffhanger, in Osborn's final moments he reveals that the project he and Van Adder had been working on wasn't the Oz serum, but actually the symbiote.

Film 3-Symbiote finds Eddie Brock. Venom serves as the main villain for the WHOLE FILM and not 20 minutes. Just introduce Eddie as a coworker at Oscorp in the first or second film similar to how he was a scientist in the Ultimate comics.

This is how I’d like Venom to look if they use him in a sequel:

Done right, Jensen Ackles would make an Eddie Brock that could end up stealing the show. He’s great in Supernatural.

If they use Venom, they should stick with the alien background. Gives them more time to actually focus on Eddie Brock and Venom as opposed to telling us how the symbiote came to be (cancer suit).

Being a HUGE Venom fan,I love the whole parasite symbiote from space origins, but I'm wondering if they should go in a different direction? Wasn't the Venom suit actually created in a lab for Ultimate Spider-man? That's sounds like a cool idea. I at least love the way they did it in SSM. Having the symbiote being brought in to Empire State University for study, only to have it escape and attached to Spidey.
Venom(and his origin) in this series should take a different approach from what Raimi did. Maybe at the end of part 2 it could be announced that alien life has been discovered on a shuttle mission and brought to Empire State for study by Dr. Connors?
Well, whatever happens I just want a darker, scarier Venom...AND a more serious symbiote storyline. I really love the way the symbiote changed Peter in the 90's cartoon. I've always remembered that scene when he confronts Flash Thompson. Flash says something like,"Well, look who suddenly developed a backbone!" Peter violently grabs him and with a sinister look on his face replies," I've developed alot more than a backbone." Flash then pulls away with a look of both shock and fear in his eyes.
I LOVE that.

I'm not sure if anybody's proposed it yet, but I'd think Remender's take on Venom would be really cool. Flash is already in TASM so they could set up a spin-off movie for him where we can get a good origin story in and maybe spark his own film series, crossing over with TASM series so that Sony could attempt something similar to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Edit: Bearing in mind that he can get big and ugly when Flash starts to get angry and loses control.

Best post so far. Jensen Ackles is a brilliant idea, and that's exactly how Venom should look (maybe shave the longer fangs down a bit).

or maybe they should do the secret wars story arc and find the venom suit they it was found.

I like the earthly origin from the ultimate comics because otherwise its too

"random alien by chance encounters Peter Parker".

Well, they have two ways to go. One way,the way Raimi did,was to try to make Venom and the symbiote as realistic as possible. The other way,is to go all out. Have the symbiote change Brock's voice and make him bigger. The symbiote itself develops a personality and we get to see how it feels towards Parker, then Brock. It also can produce tentacles and produce mouths on the suit itself(as in SSM).

I would save Venom until the fourth or fifth film, with the Black Suit being in the movie before Venom. Hopefully this series will set up Brock in ASM2 though, the earlier they start with him the better.

Let me reiterate once again, as when I started this thread. This Venom makes so much sense and is different than from what we saw in Spider-Man 3, that it is absolutely perfect. Now grant you, he can be bigger, but the face, and everything, is perfect, for film, IMO. Even his eyes, although small here, can lend themselves to becoming larger if Venom wants, like later in the film, they become larger.

May be do 3 Spider-Man movies with him in/just getting out of high school, recast and do a few (3ish) of him in college, and then do one or two with him as an adult. It's perfectly possible. I hope that Batman applies the "James Bond" method at some point.

But in that scenario, I'd say wait until college to go for Venom. Spidey has enough villians and I don't want the introduction of the symbiote to be "just because".

If the ASM franchise can retain it's quality & it's cast for a while, I think it could last six movies. If falls the path of the Rami movies, then we'll see the rights go back to Marvel.
