The Amazing Spider-Man If Venom is used again, this is how he should look!

It's also more visible in the movie, though it's still not white like in the second picture.

My point was that the webs aren't even necessary with the wraparound symbol. It occupies plenty of space. The webs were necessary (on the film's black costume Spider-Man) because of needless changes.

Also, the changes in black costume's design now meant that Venom's design doesn't make as much sense as would have otherwise. Why would Eddie Brock put the wraparound symbol on himself? The whole point in the comics was because Spider-Man wore it, so Venom wore it to mock him.

I can see what you mean. The webs make sense, but the symbol doesn't. At the most, S-M 3's Venom symbol should have been a larger, distorted version of Spider-Man's.

Eh, it shows up in some figures.

But at times in the movie, it did actually blend in to the rest of the webbing. If they're going to use webbing, keep it subtle and less raised than the symbol...or y'know, make the symbol colour just a little brighter than its surroundings. lol

Exactly. The symbol should be white. If you're going to use the webbing, make it subtler. Make it black, perhaps a somewhat glossier black, but don't call attention to the webbing.

Ideally, I would just have them both with the same symbol, and the same webbing or lack thereof. I prefer Venom's inhuman grin of sharp teeth and claws to be enough of a distortion.
Plus, I couldn't imagine a scene like this one, Venom's visit to Mary Jane Parker from Amazing Spider-Man #299 with Spider-Man 3's designs of black costume Spider-Man and Venom.

I couldn't imagine either symbol (and his teeth, unless he brushes thrice a day! ;D) glowing like that, while the rest of the suit is engullfed perfectly in darkness.

If that scene was in a movie and if they choose to go this route...again and have Venom's suit look like a messed up version of Spidey's, MJ could mistake Venom for Spidey until she gets closer.

I know that the lighting wouldn't happen, but I had an idea for a similar scene with a police officer investigating at an abandoned church. He's using his flashlight, which illuminates an unknown figure, standing close by. He sees the symbol, and the eyes in the light, he thinks he's Spider-Man in the black costume. He inquires, "Spider-Man?" Then "Spider-Man" develops an inhuman grin of sharp teeth and replies, "Close, but not quite. Say hello when he joins you soon." Then Venom kills him. Creepy, huh?

Okay, now that is an absolutely badass and creepy idea.

I will be disappointed if something similar is not in a future movie. :D

I'd include it in a film if I ever got to sit in the director's chair of a Spider-Man series. In fact, I think that would be the reveal of Venom.

I like these looks

I want the symbiote to be a little bit glossy. It would make it look more like a living thing. I didn't look like that in SM3

I think a proper movie Venom suit should have a bit of an H.R. Giger look to it.

I think I would like it if they went for a more out-and-out monstrous Venom. In the Raimi series, the time Venom was onscreen he had a constant connection to Eddie Brock. While he should, it'd be nice to establish Venom as a character himself, almost seperate from Eddie, as if just the symbiote is talking.

But most living things aren't glossy.

And my preference is for Venom to not have a tongue unless contextually justified.

How's this?

There's something off about that Venom to me, but I can't put my finger on it.

That might be interesting.

You mean like the Erik Larsen version? No thanks.

This picture (if you can see it) is the way I would want Venom's face to look like.

My perfect venom is bagelys.
Huge teeth, big eyes, long drooling tongue, bulked but not too much, and little tentacles flailing around.
Im going to say this again, but a live action version of venom from the psx spidey gam is THE VENOM.
If you dont like the tongue you can agree that that venom was always having it hang out or anything. It just cam out when he felt crazy

I like the build of Bagley's Venom, but a lot of the other things vary. For example, sometimes, the teeth and the tongue of Bagley's Venom looked too much like the X-TREME Erik Larsen incarnation, and other times, they aren't too obtrusive and distracting.
Some of Mark Bagley's Venom at his best:

Respectfully disagree.

Blue coloring, three-fingered hands, tongue always out, and a rather poor looking symbol (in my opinion), he just looks poorly to me.

I'd just have Venom stick his tongue out once for a dirty joke.

It's face. His face looks stupid. I was looking more at the body type and color.

Well yes. I'm having a hard time pinning down what exactly is wrong with the face. The body type is good, but I don't like the coloring. Venom is black, not blue, not purple, or any other color, just black. It's just not as threatening and cool if you put the extraneous coloring on it.

I think it's his teeth. They look...odd

I think you might be right. His teeth don't look very sharp. I think his chin is also part of the problem.

Also, is this little image as creepy to you as it is to me?

It's....it's like he's just thought of how he's going to violate me later, and likes the idea very much

Indeed. It's so evil and creepy. I find it ironic that it's just a little image tucked into a corner of a cover, yet it's one of Todd McFarlane's best images of Venom.

These is also awesome.

These images are a demonstration of why I love Todd McFarlane's Venom. Sleek and simple, yet expressive as well, thanks to the subtle eyebrows.

I would like just an animalistic Venom. If it's possible.

Oh and on a side note, I LOVE the Venom theme in SM3. So ultra dramatic.

Yay for abusing Black Cat!

So I take it you don't like Black Cat?

My ideas for Venom include animalistic features, such as black claws like those of a grizzly bear and sharp teeth.

This Venom would have a double voice, much like the The Spectacular Spider-Man incarnation or the Beast forms of the Beauty and the Beast Corps of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, to demonstrate the binary nature of the character.
