My point was that the webs aren't even necessary with the wraparound symbol. It occupies plenty of space. The webs were necessary (on the film's black costume Spider-Man) because of needless changes.
Also, the changes in black costume's design now meant that Venom's design doesn't make as much sense as would have otherwise. Why would Eddie Brock put the wraparound symbol on himself? The whole point in the comics was because Spider-Man wore it, so Venom wore it to mock him.
I can see what you mean. The webs make sense, but the symbol doesn't. At the most, S-M 3's Venom symbol should have been a larger, distorted version of Spider-Man's.
