If you laughed at the crying then you probably....

A troll is someone who comes into a thread to incite disagreements and trouble.

Every post Davis has made since he started has been one containing his own opinion on the subject at had.

In reality.

You're being more a troll than anyone else in this entired thread.

You need to grow up buddy.

Um, coming into the forum for the FIRST time- EVER to have this be his first message:

"laughed through the whole movie. you have to be between the ages of 4-13 to find the spider-man movies good."

I'd say that is try to incite an argument. Some might not like SM3, but SIGNING UP FOR AN ACCOUNT TO COME TO A SPIDER-MAN FORUM to say that ALL of the films are only good for children? I'm betting any TRUE Spider-Man fan would take offense to that, even the ones disappointed with SM3.

As you can see, I really have no big problem with users that have been on here for a long while that make a opinionable post that is negative. But, I believe he signed on for an account to specifically come on here and say that... to me, that being the first post is suspicious. Probably alone on that though?

Now for that to be his first post- EVER- to me, personally that tells me possibly why the poster came on here... now, maybe that's just me?!

And about the whole darkened persona, going to try to fight it... but, holding no bars with whatever I type is probably the most addictive and power trip thing I have ever experienced. It's truly addictive and has gotten worse upon every post, I can agree with you on that.

But, what I did state- although not exactly the manner in which I said it, meant every word.

....never had someone close to you die, or had someone you truely loved.

My mother died of cancer 7 years ago, and I cried alot, so I guess that makes me emo. I choked up when I was saying my wedding vows to my wife. I cried when my children were born, so I guess that makes me emo too.

I actually feel bad for people who don't get the crying scenes, because when you are touched personally by a tragedy (and it's enevitable that we all will face it at one time or another), you will probably be totally unprepared for the grief you face.

You can make up words like "emo" to make you feel cool, but when tragedy strikes, it will hit you like a knife through the heart.

I think its pretty arrogant to tout your own experience with loss as if you're some expert on human emotion.

This has nothing to do with human emotion and the ability to be mature about crying.

It DOES have everything to do with melodrama and pacing, how you construct and execute the characterization of a character. Peter literally cries at the drop of a hat in this movie. No less than 8 times does he cry. When a character cries that much, the potency and meaning of his cries mean less and less and eventually it becomes so ridiculous...you laugh.

Crying would mean nothing if you did it at any ol' thing. And you can pull the "these were life altering events" schpeel, but its still a movie and it has to pace itself properly. Having your character cry in next to every other scene is bad characterization and really undermines the spirit of the film...and makes you feel awkward, thus laughing.

Taken from that I think you read the rest... see, you can have a negative opinion and it doesn't bother me.

It's just suspicious that his first post ever would be to come onto a Spider-Man forum to state that about the franchise. Not saying that that's exactly went on, just a little suspicious as to the intent of getting an account. Because I've seen many people just sign on to get accounts for the intent of trolling.

Nope, just a lot more agressive. It's fun giving into the dark side... really can't explain it. But, it's... addictive. It really is. Typing what you mean, holding no bars back... it's freeing, really. Makes you feel invincible, makes you feel good- on top of the world. I like being bad, it makes me happy.

Everyone should try it.

And, hmm... that troll thing? FACT. Check the number of posts and you try to guess why Davis came on here. Lol. Not that difficult to figure out, that is if you have a brain and the eyes to see that- that is. If it was Payaso that would be one thing- he's been here long enough. But, this chump hasn't.
:sym:

seriously, from one human to another, go outside. get off your computer and take a walk through a park. i know this is going to sound crazy, but their is another reality that i think you are missing out on.

Actually, stuck here having to work for college exams. God, I hate Spanish!

And about everything before. I still have my suspicions about your intent of being here- with that being your first post. But, I did give in too much to the darkness- which, being typically the 'good guy', letting go is a power trip that expands every time. I suggest no one to try it actually, first couple of times it's fun- then it gets addictive and more distrubing- and then you just have to break away. Luckily, back to my old self again.

I'll take this time to be the stronger man and say sorry for calling you "garbage," but all that matters to me still is only my own personal opinion.

And dude, I see movies two or more times a week. Independant films during the spring, feel good/ be a kid again films during the summer. Both strike out to set a different chord with the audience. By the time summer comes around, I just want to have fun again- because it can become way too serious over the year. That's what summer movies are for, hanging out with friends and family and just going to the movies for a fun time. We know we're not seeing Crash, Letters From Iwo Jima, etc.- it's not meant to do that. Summer movies aren't made that way purposefully. But, Spider-Man 2 seriously is a film that can be both summer and critically appraised whereas Spider-Man 3 is more of a fun, relax, have a good time popcorn flick. In my opinion SM2, SM3, SM1. These movies aren't made for kids per say- they're made for everybody. If you can't see that, well then that's your problem, not mine.

It has nothing to do with "Not being able to relate". I've had loved ones die too. People laughed for one reason, and one reason alone.

Tobey's acting sucked.

It's not immature (Laughing at mediocre acting is immature, but crotch thrusts are the EPITOME of sophisticated humor). So some people didn't think everything about the movie was perfect, get over it.

Well said. 100% in agreement.

The only crying that pissed me off was on the bridge. It was a little too fake for me.

agreed, lets see if they'll still be laughing when something like that happens to them.
nothing like thats happend to me, and i thought it 'added' to the movie. cryings a natural human emotion, face it. not everyone can be like you 'cool' people, i guess spider-mans not even as 'tough' as you

well, imo, if the girl ive loved since 4th grade left me on a bridge for no apparent reason, and i was about to ask her to marry me...then i think ide freak-out like that too...but idk about you cool people

-"PpL wer crying bcuz his fAce wuz teh funny-looking. itz sImPle11!1"

-"If u laff at crying, u are immature!!'11"

-"NO, I laughed but I'm mature! so you must be immature!!11 also you suck"

Nothing original has been said in this thread since the first page. This might as well be a poll. Pick a stance from the above.

Ditto. Watched SM3 again today and saw no tears during the bridge scene.

He wasn't crying. He was just choked up. I saw little, if none at all, tears stroll down his face.

tobey lost the ability to cry tears after the first time..

how many times did he "cry" in this movie anyways? ...3?

bridge, harrys death, and i know im missing one more..

He cried at the police station, then he cried after Harry told him he was the "other guy".

^ There was a tear at the police-station, that's true... and he did choke up when Harry told him he was the other guy, but there was no tear falling in that scene though.

It was not before the end that I started laughing at the crying. As someone said earlier, when it starts to cry too much, it takes the emotionnal side of it and it just becomes ridiculous.

Too much time on the Hype causes Asperger's, so it's no wonder the whiners and haters react completely differently to how normal people would with regards to an emotional scene, or that they completely misunderstand emotion. I'm serious.

It was emotional for me. I don't think I've lost any more people that most have, I just took it at face value rather than analysing Tobey Maguire's damn face movements when he was crying.

Because, Tobey looks like he's taking a dump when he pretends to cry.

Parker is old-fashioned and nerdy, of course he is going to cry. Nerdy people cry more than "normal" people.

Whaaaa? lol. :spidey:

I just meant the way he was brought up, he has no reason to hold his emotions in. I am quite sure May and Ben have taught him something along those lines.
