If you like the movie - POST HERE

I enjoyed this movie. I liked it better than the first one, but it's tough for me to decide if I liked this one or the second one better.

well, i have seen the movie 3 times already. i am not a comic book reader anymore, when i was younger, thats all i cared about. i never saw the other 2 x-men movies in theaters, just at home. loved both of them. of course, like others, i was shocked with how much they changed the stories, but i loved it at the same time. it was a different version of what we all loved. if they made the movies exactly like the comics, it would already be known to other comic fans what was going to happen. so, that being said. when i saw x3 @ midnight, i was shocked. shocked at how powerful it was, how many great effects were used, and the all over story line. it throws you around. i loved the pace of the movie because this is the end of this trilogy of x-men films, as ive read numerous times. of course it is faster paced because we are already familiar with the main characters. of course i was bummed multiple man, angel, psylocke etc did not get a lot of time, but at the same time, i was damn pleased to see them.

all in all, to hell with all the crybabies who keep *****ing about this movie, take it for what it is, its just a movie, and its an amazing one at that. thats my opinion, im sure some fanboys with bash it up.

glad to see so many others enjoyed it!
As you say, and you are correct, that is your opinion. However you should not say to hell with all the crybabies because its just a movie. A movie is a product, and like any product be it a comic, car, whatever needs to supply the needs of it's consumer or else...well its no good. Our domestic auto industry may sell a lot of cars however sales show they are highly unreliable despite what the apologists will say about them. "It's just a movie" is a cop out. Fanboys may "bash it up" but they did not bash up Sin City, Superman or Batman Begins...and Spider-Man 1 and 2, X2 and several others were very well recieved as well. And seeing how well those films mentioned did critically, I'd say fanboy logic has it's good points, especially when hated films like FF, Punisher, Catwoman and Elektra tend to do poorly critically and sales wise as well (however sales is much more a byproduct of advertisement). Consumers who buy a sh---y product have a right to complain about. True no movie will disentigrate my comic collection, or destroy its readship or value (as we see) but when they make an X-Men (or any other film adaption) they have a built in audience. A group of people who they are banking on not just to pay and see the film, but hype it as well. It really is not just a movie, but an investment in our time, money and emotions.

People are emotionally attached to these characters whether you find that amusing or not. I don't think people here would spend so much time in front of a TV set or reading a comic if they did not feel emotionally attached. I feel equally as betrayed as I would if they misrepresented ME on film. Because part of ME is attached to these characters. This is why some movies are so moving and others well are not. To watch an X-Men, or any superhero film for that matter, where I don't care what happens (any other complaints aside) is really amiss for me. I think thats largely what people who like this film so much don't seem to get. It's not just a movie; its a representation of things I care about, both stories and characters. Just having action doesn't make it a comic movie, if so then your fandom regarding these characters is brief and you probably would not have cared whether this movie was ever made. But you have to understand there was an audience, a huge audience who wanted this since the actual Phoenix Saga. Those to me are the one's who feel the most betrayed.

I really....really do not get all the x3 bashing. To me it was by far the best one. People are complaining it to be all about action and no character development but what they fail to understand is that you should treat all three movies as a whole.

X1 introduction

X2 development

x3 action

WHAT THE HELL IS THE ****ING PROBLEM?

The problem is the movie sucked. What the hell is your problem?

We are planning a government take over so we can force everyone to watch X3 non-stop for three weeks straight.

"But if that movie were forced hard enough upon a particular group, humans for example, it could kill us all:eek: :( "

This thread is truely pathetic... I am going to go start a VAN HELSING SUPPORTERS UNITE thread.

I just don't understand why people can't have their opinion without someone giving them crap about it? All this repeated bashing and quoting others messages just to win an argument, it's just not needed. It's immature. It also reminds of all the Highschool bull*** I used to put up with back in the day. If you like it or hate it, post it and be done with it already. It's just a movie people.

Shadowboxing, Stewie, Weyseed, Tony Stark--and anyone who wants to flame this film or the users that enjoy it: Why are you in this thread? There's another one stickied for those who wish to complain about the film. Go there.

I think this thread's title is pretty clear...let's heed the meaning please, and stop picking on others.

While we were driving home, all we talked about were the ******ed plot mistakes, horrendous music, s***-ass direction, almost defiant inadherance to the comicbook mythology...and then we'd relax and say, "But MAN, it ROCKED!"

I was super-aware of the flaws, but*shrug* I guess I wasn't a big enough fan of the comics because I turned into a 13 year old kid and shrieked like a moron when Beast attacked and involuntarily, yes, audibly, exclaimed "THAT'S THE BEAST!!!!!"
And fuh-WHOAH! inTENSE Wolverine stuff.
I also liked the fact that the crap ass score got sad when they "robbed" Magneto of his powers.

The deaths were the WORST, "I'm Juggernaut, *****!" was the worst, the short shrift given to such worthy characters ( Angel? Colossus?....CYCLOPS?!?!? Gah! )

But, maybe it was because I saw it after reading all of the "Ratner raped my Mom" - Reviews here, Sorry, it got enough right to make me very happy.

There was actually a moment where I said, "F***. I know I'll be buying this DVD!"

For me though, I think a huge part of my conflicted but strong love for the movie comes from the fact that I was way more into the art in comicbooks than the wannabe Shakespearean/Soap Opera stuff.

I'm in a stupor when I see comicbook panels effectively "brought to life", and...
I don't want to make it sound like I only enjoyed the action, because I thought it had some really superb character stuff as well, but Whoah!

I loved when Pyro said he'd've killed Xavier, and even though they ended up enemies, Ian was just like, "****, you don't know wtf you're talking about. He was a great man."
And even though we were giggling our asses off after Logan "killed"(can anyone really be killed in X-Men 3?) Jean ('cause of the...I can't believe they did it..."NoooOOOOOooOOOooOOOoOO!!!!" bird's-eye-view shot), I still knew that if I'd been watching it alone in my room it would've broken my dork-heart.

There was so much that was egregiously stupid about it, but I didn't care. Kind of like, when you're in love with a girl, deep, true, profound, inescapable love......but she farts in her sleep and likes Green Day and nags you when you try to get on the Hype.

It's still a good thing. I liked it.

SUPER bad-ass action scenes.
And that's a GOOD thing, yo.

(and believe me, after 3 or 5 minutes of raving about the intense effects and fight scenes, we're not stupid, we did always come back to, "Yeah, but imagine if it had had stuff like that, WITH a decent director and screenplay!:(")

But, yeah, I guess I'm a bigger Fantastic Four zombie than X-Men zombie, 'cause despite it's flaws, I thought it rocked ass and enjoyed it like crazy. Not just the fights, but several lip-twitches by Ian and Paquin, many details, like Mystique flailing and paying back Magneto, and.......f***, a hundred things.

But really, Ram-Man has got to go.

They shouldn't be fired, they should be shot.

This thread is pathetic. Clear, but pathetic. They just need to be reminded. I'm done.

Then by that rationale, Ratner's movie supplied the needs of the X-men audience better than Singer because his X-movie appealed to more people. X3 almost beat out X1 and X2 combined for opening weekend.

Is the world comprised of nitpicky fanboys who have a personal vendetta against Singer, or could it be that only his select fanbase sees him as anything more than a mediocre filmaker with a handful of movies to his credit.

Wow, am I glad to see a supporters thread!
I mean, I have my complaints about the film like anyone else, but I still loved it. Phoenix totally ruled!

X3 was great.......
Really great , I know of about 15 of my friends who have all been to see it over the weekend and they all loved it too......

Well, the only reason X3 made so much money was b/c of the quality of the previous films, marketing and the promotional work done for this film! B/c of that the film had a little chance of not making so much at the BO! The coming weeks earnings will determine whether the general public thought it was a good film or not!

Good thread. I'm so sick of the SUPER fanboys who have been b******* the whole time, even before the trailers hit; this was the best movie of this great trilogy. X3, imma see it 3 times
