I'm Reading Your Stuff: General News and Discussion Thread

I was just struck by how most of the dialogue in that trailer sounded like really unnatural exposition. "Listen, Sal, Carmine Falcone's dead. But I'm here now, I'll be calling the shots."
"I'm the daughter of the Falcone don, but he's dead."
"My father's been dead a week, you wanna take what's mine!?"

Granted, it may just be the way the trailer was cut, but I also struggle how in context some of these lines would sound natural in any context (maybe the last one less so) and it kinda makes me worried as to the quality for the rest of the writing. But again, I liked most of Lauren's last show so we'll see. Still disappointed by the visuals the more comes out of them.
Honestly a lot of that dialogue sounded obviously chopped up and edited to me. That's a thing trailers do regularly and I feel like you can really hear the splicing going on.

When the Arkham show was announced I assumed it was going to be a prequel set during the creation of the asylum. That backstory is really dark and twisted, so a TV series focusing on that would be cool.

So he's here for a Q&A session? About Caped Crusader, mh?

... yeah, that part's gonna be off the rails right from the first question asked. :funny:

Great poster! And knkowing Matt is going to be there, I really hope we have some TRUE news about part II. 2 years later and we have nothing :(

I will be shocked if we don’t get any info on The Batman part II. Especially with Dylan Clark and Matt Reeves on the panel.

Saw that the panel is being held in Hall H.

That might call for a little something a little above and beyond.

Looks like they are going all out for this one and what better way to advertise then to also give a hint towards the sequel as well.

It probably won't be much but I would be surprised if they didn't at least give an update on when they intend to start filming and/or make note of its status.

Also great to see that a full trailer will be shown as per the deadline article. Lastly, it good to see that this is now an HBO original. This show above all seemed more suited for that then other DC properties right now.

I definitely think we'll get some info at the panel, but probabaly not a whole lot. Maybe just an update.
