I'm Reading Your Stuff: General News and Discussion Thread

I'm fine with stuff that's actually harmful/damaging (see: some of the straight up slander outta Grace Randolph over the years) but the debunking of irrelevant, minor rumours that the kind of person who pays attention at this stage is already going to know are dicey is vaguely annoying. Feels like it serves no purpose other than reminding people that DC is the James Gunn Show 24/7 and the focus must always be on the word of Daddy Gunn.

I see zero problems w Gunn using socials. Nothing has changed lol we can all still speculate and it will all mean just as little as before.

About that brief villain bit about potentially using the same characters: Reeves and Gunn are certainly aware of what the other is doing well before any info gets to us.

I dont think this rumor was irrelevant...I mean it added like 8 pages to this thread and had us arguing with a dude who hates Robin 😉

I think reiterating to the world that Sneider's source (if he has one) never read the script is not really that big of a deal...especially since it seems everyone was buying it dedpite not trusting Sneider at all.

What's the chance of the Court of Owls being the focus in the next installment?

Yep. If it is Grace or Sneider he is not going to let it fester. And while this is fun as heck I can totally understand why he wouldn't want it out there if it isn't true. Look at how deep we got into it in an afternoon. The disappointment level of no Robin months from now could get ugly. As said before sectarian violence.

But to be fair, he didn't debunk that Robin isn't in the film he just basically said what I said...Sneider has no idea what is in the script.
It’s debunked. Robin is not in the Batman 2. How hard is this to understand Gunn just said it through various syntax .

It’s irrelevant. Beating a dead horse based on wishes and introspect that doesn’t exist is near the definition of insanity. I thought you were 45…

It’s a better fit for a third act only if the story goes that route or the DCU. The main things that will be touched on in part 2 are the new task force, Bruce dealing with the aftermath of Riddler telling the people of Gotham that his father had Edward Elliot murdered, and the rise in crime that may or may not involve a different villain that tests Batman’s limits.

The speculation is the whole fun of message boards.

I don't specifically remember, but was it vieweranon or Grace that said one of Superman's plot points was that there was a conflict in the middle east and Gunn debunked it. While Gunn was being truthful in debunking it, related to the middle east plot, the story did contain a conflict in other countries that were made up.

There were hints of a broader conspiracy in Gotham too. Didn't Reeves at some point confirm Bruce would go even deeper down the rabbit hole? Saving the Court for the third act is a good idea, I wouldn't mind a more grounded villain rather than a fantastical one. If we get a trilogy having an over-arching villain would be great too.

If we're gonna see The Court then I'd rather get them over with now, Part II is their biggest opportunity to do something different with the villain since I'm one of the very few people who actively wants Barry's Joker to have his time in the spotlight for a hypothetical third film.

There are things I don't want to see. Hush, the Court, a child rapist Mad Hatter. But honestly, after what Reeves has done, I'm willing to go with whatever he cooks up. I might not end up liking it but I'll trust them until he makes something I don't love.

So your that much of a ***** that no one can argue with or even debate?

Wow. No balls AND weak
Goodnight, sweet prince.
Thank goodness, the mall cop, wannabe hack micro-author edgelord ******** is finally gone. If you look up any of the guy's writings, his nonsensical, disgusting opinions on here come as no surprise.

A little annoyed you called him sweet and a prince, Sword. Far kinder than he deserved.
