The Arkham murder-suicide has to be a part of the plot at some point. It's one thing to say Martha dealt with mental illness but the murder suicide is so specific and heavy. Is there any comic where this idea comes up? If not, then it has to be something he intended to follow up, right?? I'm not finding anything from a google but who knows if it's something Matt gleamed in a deep dive and thought would be a fun thing to sprinkle in lol

Would I be alone in thinking that we may get both Hush and Hugo Strange here? Hush getting the primary focus but Hugo is the overarching villain in the background.

Nope, I could definitely see this happening. If we do get Hugo Strange, I do think we get another villain that has some visual flair. Hugo doesn't really have that. I did see someone suggest Mahershala Ali, since we know he was speculated to be up for Gordon at some point, which would be excellent for Hugo. But who knows if he's still holding out hope for blade. I do think Batman does need a physical challenge in a villain this time around.

If Matt was truly planting seeds in the first film, I think this is exactly what he will explore more of as it relates to Martha. The comment of deeper corruption that Bruce finds out about would have to be related to this. Maybe it actually wasn't a murder-suicide and was staged? Did Martha witness this? Was the Arkham family behind it?

That would be unexplored territory which none of us would have seen before.

The thing about Martha's parents is taken from Earth One, they go into a little more detail in vol. 3 where a supposed "Arkham Curse" is mentioned that makes the Arkhams crazy, Clayface pretends to be Adrian Arkham, Bruce's grandfather who everyone thought had been killed by his wife.

Only joking with this but, this is the last week until a month has passed regarding Reeves saying he’d share things in the “Coming Weeks Ands Months” again not being too literal but maybe?
