I think you're grasping at straws, Worthy. This guy comes in with no proof telling everyone exactly what they wanna here, and you buy it? The chances of this being legit are slim to nil.
......so we should hang him?

^ Re: the article. It does make it sound like a Juggs/Col fight was on the books, but there were a few moments from the trailers we've seen that were not included in the print I saw. I was told by the Fox rep we're all dealing with here in Cannes that the print we saw was the final version.

I'm not sure what else people want me to speak up about. I don't want to spoil things heavily now just because I've seen the film.

For one reason or another there could an alternative cut.

i already saw in Europe some movies that had a different cut than in America ( often longer )in some theater..

that doesn't mean that the version The one is talking about (if it is true) will be the one ( sorry :o lol ) that we will see in theater.

keep that in mind.

Ted can you at least tell me if the Phoenix firebird is in it, or when exactly the cerebro doors close for the film to start? Thank you so much

hi Ted:)

at least , can you tell us if you liked the movie?

I never said we should "hang" Ones. Like Crimson said, it's nothing personal, it's just that more often than not, people are yanking our chains. For all I know, you could be telling the truth, Ones. Oh, and when you no longer showed as being online, well, I was already skeptical. But, you're back and defending yourself still, so, cool. I'm probably about 50/50 on this review right now.

Ted, thanks for not rushing in and spoiling the movie. It's a nice change of pace. I think people just wanted to know exactly what you were debunking about Ones' review. It's not an issue right now, IMO, though.

Short Review:

Running time: 108 min 34.9 seconds w/o credits

What Worked: For starters the Jean and Scott scene was a cinema moment never to forget. Phoenix really scares you in this scene. And the Phoenix rising is enough to have you on the floor searching for your Jaw. The whole cure plot was extremely well balanced with Phoenix plot and both got equal shares of story and cross cut each other perfectly. It is clear the Visual Effects people almost killed themselves on this movie. Out of the whole movie, the things that stayed with me are all the deaths (wont spoil them for people) Every major person that dies goes out with an emotional bang and you can help but shed at least 1 tear for each one lost. The 3rd act was very well done and was much better than I expected. Juggernaut and Colossus have the fight all the fans wanted to see. Extremely Short but you find yourself expelling your own weight in drool. The Jean neighbourhood scene, There are good points and bad points here but overall, it is one of the best scenes in the entire trilogy. Kelsey Grammar did a wonderful job of Beast. When you first see him you think he’s a tamed animal. But in the final act, you are proven wrong big time. Oh and stick around after the end credits for 2 surprising scenes.

What didn’t work: Ice-man vs Pyro was ok at most, it wasn’t as mind blowing as the TV spots made out to be. Hugh Jackman is starting to loose it as Wolverine He doesn’t have that attitude he has in the previous films. But Hugh’s mistakes are forgiven when we come to Halle Berry and Vinnie Jones. Why are they in movies? They deliver lines that seem to remind you of mud. Sure they do some amazing things but any grown person could do them in this movie. The acting from these 2 is horrid and certainly drowns the film a bit. The danger room also needs to be cut or at least improved. It just seemed too rushed and out of continuity with the rest of the film (e.g. Colossus effects.)

The Bottom Line: The last stand is a fitting adaptation in the X-men Saga (2nd to X-2) it delivers lots of action and story only to be pulled down by some shoddy acting and dialogue and some (3) poorly directed sequences

Final Score: 79%

Thank you sir

I wanted to debunk as "vaguely" as possible, and it's not because I'm trying to be rude to other posters. But it'd be a shame, a week before general release, for people to be led down one path.

If for some reason, the movie we see in theaters in a few days is different than what I saw this weekend, I don't mind. At the moment, I'm going on the word of our Fox contact about the film we were shown.

The cerebro doors are in the film's opening sequence. I do plan on posting a review, but I also know there's a need to be kinda tight-lipped because the film isn't out yet. It's difficult because among most of the press here, people *have* seen it and you're free to speak to them about it. But I don't think I can run and spill the beans on everything in general.

Hey Ted, not asking for any spoilers here, but did Angel receive good character development?

No problem, Ted.

Bottom line: Did you and Matt really enjoy it? Did Ratner pull it off?

Sorry just curious, are the doors after or before the young Jean Grey sequence?

Thank you The Ones, you have just proved how idiotic all these posters have been in regards to a film they have never seen. The movie is 1 hour 48 minutes long. It isn't 90 something minutes plus credits, it isn't rushed at all. The Cerebro door is right in the beginning, just like the other films which keeps continuity. The problem with these people spreading rumors and lies is they encourage other people not to see the film and hurt its performance and the chance of sequels being made. So stop it! You know who you are.

People are so ridiculously gullible when you tell them what they want to hear.

i can rest in peace....this is the best review ive heard ...lol

It was just so funny how you were so quick to dismiss Moriarty's review but not this one.

So the Ones, what would these 3 poorly directed scenes be?
