So you are saying respected critics are lying?

I'm gonna stop answering about when things happen or what happens from this point forward, because I don't want to start being one of those "I saw it, ask me questions!" people. I just wanted to say that this information did not sound true.

As for enjoyment of the movie: yes, we enjoyed it. To be perfectly honest, though, I feel my enjoyment was lessened by the amount of footage I saw in tv spots and clips. I wish I had seen less, but people who have not watched all of those clips will be even more impressed than I was (Matt saw less footage than me pre-viewing, and I think it did make an impact). I think watching so much footage beforehand makes those moments less exciting in the final film because they're not "new". In addition, this was not your average "walk into your local cinema" experience, because we've been travelling for a good amount of time and the whole Cannes thing has been overwhelming - and it's made seeing the film a bit surreal.

Quick comments - some sequences blew me away. I'll elaborate in the review that goes up on the site, as best I can without spoiling things. And there was a sequence in particular that we partially saw in the trailers that has changed somewhat and made my jaw drop. It was that cool.

I have tickets booked for the full opening on Friday, and I'm psyched to see it in more of a "natural" movie-going environment without the press.

Interesting. Only time will tell which version we end up seeing.

So the Ones, what would these 3 poorly directed scenes be?

Danger Room

End scenes

and one of the X-mansion scenes

It was just so funny how you were so quick to dismiss Moriarty's review but not this one.

uhhh..... i was talking about the main titles being in the movie. NOT the movie.

People are so ridiculously gullible when you tell them what they want to hear.

I'll wait for the movie and y'know watch it myself versus trust second hand commentary. I especially don't trust reviews that use quotes I read off of other reviews. Didn't JokerNick's review have a line about picking one's jaw up off the floor? Sketchy.

Regardless, whether the source is verified or otherwise, the reviews are nothing more than a person's opinion on a film that we are all going to see eventually. I'd rather reserve judgement and speculation until after the fact.

So, Ted, you can agree with Ones that the cerebro door was AFTER the young Jean and Warren flashbacks, right before the danger room?

Ditto. I hope those won't ruin the movie for me.

LeX have fun. Take me with you. I can take a red eye flight to Sydney.

I actually believe The Ones. I'm guessing that The Ones and Wolverini saw a cut of the movie that had deleted scenes in it.
