It's a shame most will attribute his visual style and color palette as a 300 rip-off. If only they were informed of art history. It's a great homage to that period.

Caravaggio or not I was not a big fan of the pallet saturation.

Sorry to disappoint you here but I will forever consider you a *****ebag for ruining that moment for me. :cmad:

I preferred you'd be told the truth rather than living a lie.

Yeah, I was surprised they killed off such prominent Gods, considering they definitely did have a sequel in mind as a possibility. I'm still wondering how the Titans had any sort of advantage in that fight. Barring the artistic license of slow-mo, the Gods genuinely had the ability to f--k up a great number of the Titans with ease. Not sure how the internal logic worked in this context, but it was still sloppy in how suddenly they were overturned.

I haven't seen The Immortals yet, but I suppose that if Singh wanted to bring the killed gods back he could just have them escape from the Underworld.

I don't know why anyone is saying that, I really really don't see how they look alike...

Beyond the swords and sandals battles, I don't think the films have much in common at all!

When I first saw the trailer for this I just said meh I will catch it on Redbox or Netflix. I had been let down by the extremely crappy clash of the titans remake, and was hesistent to see another Greek action flick. But now after reading you guys posts and the postive word of mouth I will check this out this coming weekend.

Also, I saw the Attack of the Show Mickey Rourke interview and man, that was cringe worthy and just plain creepy. He came off as a *****ebag/ perv. I also don't like the fact that he bashed Henry for being excited about filming.

If I get lucky and get into the film industry one day, I would enjoy every freaking minute of it. If Mickey no longer enjoys filmmaking then he might as well retire. Anyway, the girls handled themselves well considering Mickey's creepy behavior. Kevin also did well.

Then at the end of the interview he freaking walked right in front of Kevin when he was trying to lead into a commerical. Wow unprofessional!

Watching the interview now. He's right though . Those people on attack of the show kinda laugh at anything . Its very weird.

Yea they do. That's the only thing in that interview that I can agree with.

Found a bunch of deleted scenes from Clash. That movie could have been alot better if not so some stupid decisions. Here's a cool scene.

Also why can't we get come movies about demi god heroes that actually have demi god powers. Just seems like an excuse to keep making the same movies over and over. If they made a Hercules movie tmr I wonder if he would even have strength.

That was a really awkward interview and Rourke was being a jerk. He was.

But my god was he right about the girls on the show. Like, they are ******* smoking hot!

What he did was too obnoxious...talking about motorboating and slapping their asses lmfao! Has he no game?!

I've been contemplating if that type of movie can even be done justice right now. The closest thing we'll have in the oncoming years is Superman. I'm still waiting for that one breakthrough movie that boggles my mind in superhuman feats. Then and only then would I be comfortable with a whole series of movies featuring demi/gods.

Yea, I mean we get a half dozen mythological adaptations and not one demi god realized on screen(I've yet to see immortals). Even in Troy of all films. What we get would be the equivalent of superhero movies without real powers(props to batman) but they just won't be all that hot.

How about someone brighten up and make a myth movie with a myth hero that's not an interchangeable sword and sandal lead. Leonidas, maximus, spartacus, Perseus(that's a lot of us's lol). These dudes would probably do very well in each others films, and that' a shame.

It can be made, just everyones scared to. Immortals an Clash of the Titans are pretty weak scripts. Theres tons of ridiculous immature things in them but for some reason they wont make there Hero as powerful as he should be. Why? I dont get it. Immortals didnt even touch on the demigod stuff. It would have made the overall movie better. Most the changes from the Story I thought were weak choices anyways.

You always here about the relationship between Greek Gods and Modern Superheros. Even most directors say thats what they use that as influence in their films (Gavin Hood) even though I personally dont see it in their films. I thought Immortals had a chance to kind of reverse that and make the Greek Gods full on superheros in a film. Which they do to an extent but its underplayed till the end. It was like waiting for your favorite X Men to show up[BLACKOUT] only to get killed in a short cameo[/BLACKOUT]. Everyone is always so scared to give them screen time or even leave them in Greek stories. They should be the main attraction. They really could have done something cool with this film story and character wise.

To be fair, to take full advantage of what an all-out 'god experience' can be like, that would be a very expensive movie. There's some pretty epic stuff in these myths, many of which rival the biggest blockbusters we've ever seen. So I don't blame studios for not jumping head first yet. They need their Spider-Man to spark that movement.

The two girls are pretty attractive(I think Bailey is dating Seth Green). As much as I disapprove of his behavior, one can't deny that this show has these two women doing things of that nature consistently.

And it goes on and on. So much so that I'm really not sure what else Rourke was supposed to do on such a show.

They do in fact need that because until then, they are making their spiderman movies without spiderman...in a way.
to modest returns.

It's just kinda silly to me, you have a story about a kid whose parental figure dies and he leaves the farm or fishing yard only to find out he's the chosen one or quite literally the son of Zeus or something and then what, he pick up a sword and leads the charge...good for him. The only film of late that has somewhat lived up to this premise was that Percy Jackson.

The only reason to watch this ****in' show.

Oh...my.

I need an internship at that show, now.

I'm also looking for a good set up as to why the "gods" need mortals to do the jobs they "choose" not do. So far it's been suspect.

True, these movies already have some pretty expensive stuff going on. At the same time if they made made Theseus a full on demigod I dont see how that would be looked at as being impossible, I saw the change as the writers just taking the easy way out and simplifying the story. I think Theseus was just ultra powerfull and could lift boulders and such. I saw crazier things in the movie. They could have given him Ultra Strength.

With Clash of the Titans we had a giant fricken Kraken while our hero rides a Pegasus. If they can afford that they can afford a bit of cash to make the son of a God a little more powerful.
