In The End, Was The Wrestling Thread Worth It?

I wouldn't mind this he atleast would be a better GM than Eric Bischoff Jr

According to one source, there is talk among the WWE creative team of making Hulk Hogan an on-screen authority figure for the company. Apparently there is a possibility that Hogan will become the new “General Manager” of RAW. As noted earlier here on the website, Hogan wasn’t able to pass a WWE physical so they need to keep him in a role that won’t require him wrestling any matches. This would be a way to do that.
At one point, there was talk of Sting becoming the new GM, but apparently he has still not signed with the company, and due to his questionable status, the talk has switched to Hogan possibly becoming the GM.

I would love for him to be the new GM,He would likely be a face and so that should be interesting and a bit fresh once the Authority ends,Plus he'd be filtered unlike in TNA and so that means Vince probably won't have him part(or at least not the focus)of major storylines and not a whole lot of air time

- We noted earlier that WWE was unhappy with the TMZ story that came out on Friday about Hulk Hogan returning and visiting the WWE Performance Center.

Word is that WWE wanted to make a big deal about Hogan coming back this Monday, just hours before the big RAW from Green Bay. When the report came out from TMZ, WWE felt they needed to do it themselves so they issued the press release.

A lot of people in the company still can’t understand why Hogan’s return wasn’t announced on last week’s RAW.

- There’s been talk of adding another match to tonight’s WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, possibly a Divas match.

One possibility is Cameron vs. AJ Lee for the Divas Title. Shortly before Friday night’s SmackDown, WWE posted the following “#IAMWITH” graphics on AJ and Cameron’s Facebook pages. The images were deleted after the SmackDown broadcast.

- There are reports that the one-week WWE Network free trial that will be offered on Monday is just for viewing the Network on WWE.com. We’re still waiting on confirmation but WWE’s announcement of the trial states the following: “Beginning at 9:00 a.m. ET on Monday, and for a limited time, WWE will offer a free one-week trial of WWE Network at WWE.com.”

- There’s a feeling among people close to CM Punk and WWE that Vince McMahon will end up talking Punk into coming back to work. We should know more about what the future holds after the March 3rd RAW in Chicago.

- WWE officials were still considering an angle to take Christian out of tonight’s Elimination Chamber main event but at last word, if they do that angle, it will not be to give a spot to Brock Lesnar. No word on who would get the spot if they take Christian out.

Fandango is the only choice to replace Christian, obviously.

William Regal interview. He talks about the WWE Performance Center, Daniel Bryan, and the "IT" factor.

If Christian is replaced, and it is not by Lesnar, it will be Kane.

so Sting still isn't officially signed with WWE??

:(

IF it's Ambrose vs Reigns vs Rollins at WM then shouldn't Shield be splitting up tonight?,Maybe the Wyatt beats them then after the match thy start arguing and Ambrose slaps Reigns then runs out of the ring or something like Ambrose hits Rollins with his finisher then Reigns spears Ambrose

They should of know Hogan would be spotted at the performance center. Stupid wwe

The Christian screw job doesn't sound like a bad idea if they use the right person. Brock would of been amazing. Kane or Bray also make sense
Anyone except Ryback or Khali please

Sting won't be in WWE, which means no Sting DVD set.

TMZ broke the news on their website just moments ago that Jake "The Snake" Roberts has cancer. Their article reads:

Jake "The Snake" Roberts has a cancerous tumor behind his knee ... and the wrestler says it's slowly growing into his muscle -- so he needs emergency surgery to remove the growth.

Roberts tells TMZ ... he noticed a tumor behind his knee the size of a half dollar last month so he had it tested ... and on Friday doctors told him the test came back positive for cancer.

Jake says he's scheduled to go under the knife Tuesday morning ... and after a few weeks off -- he'll make his return to Jersey Championship Wrestling on March 14th -- cancer, or not.

Jake adds, "If the devil can't defeat me, cancer doesn't stand a chance in hell! Pray for sick children who face this horrible disease 'cause The Snake will be just fine."

As for his upcoming induction into the WWE Hall of Fame ... the wrestler says nothing will stop him from getting to New Orleans for the ceremony.

Get well Jake!:(

Damn TMZ has been beating everybody to the punch!

When, because I need to see Liger once in my life live and I didn't know about ROH when he showed in 2005.

At the Ring of Honor "Honorcon" event in Philadelphia, a huge two-day event with New Japan Pro Wrestling – the biggest wrestling company outside of the United States – will take place this May.

The "Ring of Honor vs. New Japan" confrontation is scheduled to take place on May 10th at the company's annual Border Wars event, and again on May 17th in the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan, NY. The announcement was made on Saturday by Ring of Honor COO Joe Koff and former ROH star, trainer, and booker Delirious. New Japan's Chairman Naoki Sugabayashi was also on hand, with his translator Tiger Hatori, who helped break the news.

Ring of Honor also announced that they were in talks with toy and trading card companies for future products. Visit ROHWrestling.com for more information.

Rumor has it that if this turns out well, they could be doing these more often. Oh and I got to meet Jushin Liger at Chikara's WrestleMania 29 Weekend show last year. It was awesome. :word:

Mick Foley, who has been very outspoken about WWE's creative direction in recent months, took to Facebook to write a letter to the sports-entertainment organization concerning tonight's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event:

"DEAR WWE,

Please, please, please, please, have a great show tonight.

As a fan of pro-wrestling – have a great show.

As a father of four who has ordered every PPV for the past year – have a great show.

As the guy whose big Christmas present to his family was a family trip to New Orleans for Wrestlemania, even though he knew he wasn't likely to appear on the event – have a great show.

On behalf of all those other dads or moms who have done the same thing; spent considerable money on an event that thus far is not capturing our imaginations – have a great show.

As a Disney fan who wouldn't want to arrive at the Magic Kingdom just to find out all his favorite attractions were closed – have a great show.

As someone who still remembers how it felt to be 18 years old and see Jimmy Snuka dive off the top of the cage - to see the magic pro-wrestling was capable of creating - and knows you have the ability and personnel to make people feel that same magic - have a great show .

As the estranged son who still loves his WWE family, and, no matter what, in some strange way, always will – have a great show.

Sincerely,

Mick Foley"

Some of my friends who are autograph hounds saw CM Punk before the fight last night, but he wasn't signing for anybody.

Re: TMZ

I disagree with their tactics and some of the freelancers that work for them are usually annoying as Hell, but their reports tend to be spot on and their show is somewhat entertaining.

Re: Elimination Chamber

I don't care what Brock does, I just want him to make an appearance.

I'm an Orton mark so I'll be happy if he retains tonight as he's never won Elimination Chamber, but on a business aspect, I hope Bryan wins the Chamber again.

Gonna ask my buddy Valdo what he's doing then, if he's gonna be working there or not. I know he's doing (or did) the DGUSA Elk's Lodge show. I don't remember if it happened yet or not. I know he won't ref ROH, but it would be cool seeing him there somehow.

GET HYPED! :awesome:

There are a few websites reporting that the WWE Network will not have encores of Raw and SmackDown. It looks like they're basing this on the faq section of the Wwe network that states that there will be a best of raw and smackdown 2012 and 2013 thing, but i thought that was answering the question of whether very Old shows of raw and smackdown would be on the network, and that the newer raw and smackdown shows would be there after they air on TV. Does anyone know for sure what the deal is here?

IDK but these Questions and Answers are really negating that comment if its true
