Incredible Hulk 2

The Incredible Hulk is still my favorite Marvel movie (well, actually X2 is but i am referring to Dinsey/Marvel universe)

anyway, i would like to see a Hulk sequel

or at the very least, get Hulk as a supporting character in another character's solo movie (Iron Man 4, Cap 3, Thor 3, etc.)
Ditto
I think Incredible Hulk is my favorite Marvel film in general though

Whoever the movie's villain is, they need to show that the Hulk, not just bruce banner, is a real caring hero. Avengers kind of showed it, but it would be nice if they developed the green guy as not a monster.

^I actually think it's the other way around. Both TIH and AngHulk showed a softer side of Hulk. It was only Avengers that showed Hulk only as a monster. It's not a coincidence that it was the most popular.

It's all speculative without a Hulk that talks in more than 2 or 3 words at a time.

I still say that would be a good part of the story, that hulk doesn't need banner to be good. Wasn't that in the new comics anyway? Like the hulk made banner a good person?

There is a bit of "Is Banner the real monster?" in comics from the last few years. Always good to see a new take on the old "Is he man or monster or....is he both?" question.

There are elements of restraint and compassion in Avenger's Hulk, but they're subtle, and of course we didn't see a soft and caring side to Hulk in this one because there was no "Betty figure" to be soft and gentle to. The closest we got to that was Hulk catching Tony and then being concerned when Tony wasn't waking up.

Everything else was Hulk being in a hostile situation (yes the Helicarrier freakout was something he perceived as a hostile situation. There was hostility from Black Widow and Fury, an explosion, then a dark claustrophobic place where the only other thing he saw was Widow, whom he remembered as an aggressor. Oh and then Thor who delivers pain he probably hasn't experienced since Blonsky. So we primarily saw him in an aggressive role.

But he showed restraint when he had Natasha cornered. Watching a gif of it hundreds of times shows quite clearly the tension in his shoulder relaxing and the look on his face transitioning from anger to something akin to guilt. He released the pilot after he ejected. He put all his effort into reigning away a flying space whale that was on a crash course with a building full of panicking people.

So this Hulk actually saved and spared plenty of people who weren't Bruce's girlfriend.

Anyone hoping for the movie to be called: The Indestructible Hulk? Rather than a tacked on 2? I don't mind if it's not but it would be cool!

Also did any of you guys see the set pics for Avengers: Age of Ultron?

It seems we will be getting a Hulk rampage scene in South Africa where he may fight someone.

I think Rulk (though could happen) visually is too similar to Abomination. Man gets corrupted by power, must show he is stronger than the "strongest one there is", etc.) I think the Rulk stories in the comics (I read many of the early ones) were meh, but I do think somewhere down the line, it could be made into an interesting film. I just think for film 2 right after another military, power hungry, gamma beast that is just like Hulk, it is a mistake. Someone like Leader would present a different problem for Hulk to hanld and I think offer more.

Honestly, just use the leader, then the absorbing man (but no daddy absorbing man).

Where did you hear this?

Hear what? The Avengers 2 news? It was on numerous sites. Here's a link to some:

And here is a link to Instagram where someone has got a clip of the crew holding a Hulk bust on set in Africa as well as a set video of people running and screaming with a truck getting smashed by something (Hulk, or whatever he's fighting!).

Red Hulk would have to be the next step or led towards if there is a IH3

That's nice! Can't wait to see what they have in store for the Hulk in Avengers 2.

How about the U-Foes in a future instalment of the Hulk?
I think they'd be a great set of visual baddies with a cool potential for effects.

Visually interesting, sure. The trick would be making them compelling villains, as opposed to CGI pins for the Hulk to knock down. Which is to say, you'd need to make Vector work as a master villain, with a distinct personality and style and goals, in order for it to work.

Make them "Evil Fantastic Four," that's good enough for me

Compelling villains is something Marvel Studios consistently drops the ball on, Whiplash, Red Skull, Malekith all could have been made more interesting with minimal effort.

But The Incredible Hulk actually had one of the best villains of the MCU so there's hope.

They wouldnt have to reveal who Rulk is in the same movie though, that could be saved for another sequel, I just think on film he could be a really interesting character and good foil for the Hulk.

Sigh. No, it didn't. Seriously. Describe to me these compelling features the Abomination had. He was more a cardboard cutout than Malekith, and had less personality and charisma, and a far worse aesthetic. What, exactly, is so great about him?

He was big and smashed things!

Loki > Red Skull > Aldritch Killian > Obadiah Stane > Whiplash > Abomination > Malekith. A-Bomb had no legitimate motivation. He wanted "A rematch." That's it.
