What makes you guys so sure Hulk will even be in Avengers?
Uh, from everyone at Marvel studios saying he will be.
What makes you guys so sure Hulk will even be in Avengers?
FF wasn't as profitable for Fox, as TIH stands to be for Marvel...FF's movie delivered a better ROI for the film, but Fox but they had to split the profits with Marvel, whereas Marvel has to share no profits with anyone. Uni gets their fees ofcourse, but nothing more, and Marvel gets to keep the movie...so 10 years down the line, they can re-launch stuff on DVD and make more money, like disney does..just imagine...Iron Man, TIH, IM2, Avengers, Cap, Thor...the combo package for $99 dollars...lol.
They are all reporting from the same news story released by Reuters.
The facts are that the first Hulk performed unsatisfactorily by Universal's standards - maybe now that Marvel is in charge they are happy with the revenue.
Furthermore we have no idea what Marvel's intentions are - did they plan a trilogy? Or was TIH more of a means to introduce Captain America and bring the Hulk back on screen so he can be incorporated into the Avengers film?
Universal has already said they'r happy with TIH's box office and would be open to sequels.
Marvel also said when starting this project that they were aiming to build a hulk franchise. Whether this is still their intention is unknown, people are way over reacting to this guys 'source', who for all we know is the janitor who misheard a conversation.
We need Dr. Strange, Namor, Silver Surfer, then the Defenders. I don't care if Fox ends up doing Silver Surfer... but I am hoping it goes back to Marvel and Fox is the distributor tops... I wish Wolverine went back to Marvel... they could have done some major cameo damage with that one... but o well. Hopefully Fox does a good job with that. Heroes for Hire can definitely be a 3 picture small budget franchise... but we need those characters in their own films first. As for Avengers... we need Hawkeye, Black Panther, and Black Widow movies before we see them in Avengers 2... anyone else I am missing??? But anyhow this is the pattern Marvel should follow... solo movies... then crossovers. That's how you bring in the wider audience range. It's a lot more expensive then a straight up sequel... but then again not all of these characters are franchise material.
If it wasn't for Ang Lee, we Hulk fans wouldn't have a good Hulk movie to watch.Damn that Ang Lee movie! If it wasn't for him we wouldn't be in this mess.

It may well be that he doesn't want to do a sequel with them.Honestly, if a sequel wasn't in the plans, it's probably because they didn't think it'd perform well at the box office. Trust me, if they get close to $300 million, then they'll quickly change their minds. And on top of that, THEY HAVE ED FREAKIN' NORTON AS BRUCE BANNER! Why wouldn't you want to do a sequel with him?
