The only fight I didn't like was the Batman-Joker fight at the party(I liked the fight, not the way it was done) . It was still cool, but not as clear and easy to see as the other fights.

the dark knight fights were better for sure. really gave you a better look at the keysi fighting method.

Once again Nolan can't deliver in close combat. Seemed choppy... couldn't really see much. It comes with the territory. Action isn't his game. But I need to watch the film many times over and freeze frames before I can say definitively.

batmans movements were soo slow. because unlike begins there were wider shots and he posed like after every counter punch. but i liked the way the joker fought. he made sure that batman was destracted then would sneek in some punches.

TDk, but not by much. I really didn't think it was much of an improvement.

That's ridiculous. The action in TDK was miles ahead of the action in Iron Man, Hulk, or even Indy IV. The difference? The action in TDK looked REAL, and it was staged beautifully IMO, from the chase scene to the hand-to-hand combat scenes. Batman was the biggest badass when it came to fighting.

TDK hands down. Most of the fights you could see clearly, except towards the end.

Nothing beats the Ra's/Batman fight at the end of BB. Plus I liked the way Batman stalked his enemies in BB.

Although I didn't mind the way the fights were edited in BB, TDK was clearly better overall.

The action is so choppy and the camera shakes so much in Nolan's films that you can't see what's really going on. This is the same problem with the Bourne movies. It's not artistic or "intense" at all. It just means that the director doest know how to shoot fight scenes. In TDK they actually backed the camera out a little bit and you can SEE the action, not entirely but better. Nolan should really get a better team as far as fight scenes go. It's certainly NOT the highlight. You watch the movie mostly for the story and the actors really.

I wish people would stop marking the Bourne films as the definitive ways to not shoot fight scenes. I'm sorry you get motion sick or can't keep up, and everything is not clean cut and super clear for you. Get over it, and stop harping on about it.

oh man, i have to wait till august 21st. how was the fights:
- Batman vs the swat team and in the nightclub?

being able to tell where people are geographically in a fight and being able to tell what is going on isn't sugarcoating.

I think the fighting was very much improved in TDK. I think the fact they shot in on IMAX was a blessing in disguise. They could not afford the quick pans and such since its so heavy.

My only gripe was the "sonar view". it felt way too fantastical for Nolan's Batman, it always seemed like something from a video game.

No its just outright lame that a Saturday morning cartoon has better fight scenes than the actual movie :whatever:.

Why have Batman go through all that "training" only to end up NOT having good fights? It has nothing to do with "motion sickness". Their making millions with this movie, they could at least give us a decent stunt team. Call hong kong or something.

yes i beleive that the action was a little bit slower and not choreographed as well in TDK but it was shot better.

the action in BB was faster and better choreographed, but shot worse.

I thought TDK had better overall action. But there were more "fight scenes" in BB. I mean training batman vs Ducard had a ton to do with that though.

nolan really is a good director when it comes to just about everything but action. the chases, fights, choreography... all second rate.

It was cooler looking and more impressive movement in BATMAN BEGINS. TDK was a little clearer and crisper.

People have to understand that the reason the hand to hand fight scenes were shot in such manner was because of the batsuit.
It restricts his movement and makes him move as fast as an old lady.
If they make more improvement in the suit for the third one and the suit is no longer a hindrance then we'll see better fight scenes.
In BB it was really horrible that they were only able to show him from head to toe for one full second. In TDK he was finally able to move his head. Here's hoping that the third one will allow him better and faster (or should I say normal lol) movement!

I think BB fight scenes looked more brutal. TDK scenes looked as though Batman was hitting ppl alot slower.
