Interesting news from Comic-Con (Concerning Jean and Scott)

Well theres no way thay can bring it back with the same driving force it had since every important character is dead

To quote the guy sitting behind me after the post-credits scene, "Wow, they did leave it open, didn't they?"

Let's face it...we didn't see Cyclops die, the Professor is back, in the comics Jean has come back from the dead more often then a George Romero zombie, and it looks like the cure isn't permanent.

I don't think those doors have closed yet.

they could if they fight it... just re-cast Storm and Wolverine.

That's about as likely as reboot.

Professer back- Yes in a new body that has no mutant gene. Useless

Cyclops not seen dead- I'll give you that one

Jean can come back- The general public will get tired of it

The moderator, Jeff Goldsmith, was the same guy who did the Penn/Kinberg podcast, and according to the Hollywood Reporter, he'll be posting the Q&A on ITunes soon.

From all the things we've heard and read about, my guess is that Fox nixed Cyclops from the get-go, and Kinberg/Penn said if he's going out, let's let him go out with a bang that has an implication to the story.

Also, my friends who knew nothing about X-Men except for the movie universe could have cared less about Cyclops, and didn't mind the way they dealt with the character at all. In fact, they said that the chemistry was always with WOlverine. So Fox has some supporters.

I don't think he was physically speaking when he said "Hello Moira." It's possible.

It makes sense...the guy was MIA for most of X2. How would the audience unfamiliar with the character have any sort of connection to him?

Rogue should have more screen time , it sucks man and Jean grey should have more phrases in X3 lol

now reading this i hate FOX!!!! why did you guys do this to my jean!!! AGH

I don't know about recasting Storm and Wolverine. Hugh Jackman does an amazing job as wolverine you have to agree. I too would have like to hear more of Jean but if there is a 4th I believe she may just apear again. I'd personally like to see Gambit come into the next picture. He might not be too powerful but hey he gets the job done and him and rogue had a thing didn't they?

Anna... why did you do another film to? :(
We could have had more Rogue :(

hi everyone, i got to hear simon kinberg speak today during a panel about how to translate comics to the big screen. he was one of the two guys that wrote x-men: the last stand. he was a really nice guy and he had some very interesting things to say.

So in other words this whole movie was a totally unbelievable, badly written crock of bull-**** right from the beginning. And yes, "killing" Scott had some emotional impact, but definitely NOT the kind they were looking for!!!

The general public's known to have a worse case of ADD than the director. Betcha they won't even remember what happened in the previous films.

But if Anna was also taking on another film...
Why did they not wait like 6 months..... I could wait for it... certainly if there was more Rogue... and better maybe :D

but the studio said no we can't have too much Jean because this is Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry's movie.
Last time I checked it was an 'X-men' movie not Storm and Wolverine. God! Wolverine is already getting his own spin-off, plus he had a hell lot of time in X1 and X2! Grr....just because of those two, other characters had to be killed or cured.

Granted but when a franchise is pronounced dead they reboot

You don't have to reboot. X1 and X2 are fine. Just STEP OVER X3 like it never happened. Either completely ignore it or write it off as a bad dream that Scott had after getting drunk with Logan.

'nuff said.

next movie, show what REALLY happens after X2. need ideas? Go read my alternative X3 stories post on the "who's to blame" thread. With at least a dozen fanfics and 2 full length novels so far there should be plenty of ideas to choose from.

Well yeah, we can't demand more Scott or Jean or CHarles X if they're all "dead". Now we have no choice but to focus on Wolverine or Storm or the X Kids. Fortunately, you guys and gals are too smart for that and won't put up with it.

Because FOX was involved in a genital-waving contest with WB. X_men vs Superman Returns. They wanted to have their movie released before SR for the sake of being first to rack in the cash.

Audience can be picky sometimes without realizing it. They had the same problem with most of the other characters who just appeared without benefit of back stories or flashbacks. Only one with any sort of established bios are Logan and Jean, and that's not saying much. Let's face it, you can't make a movie like this for the benefit of totally clueless people. Even LOTR required people to have at least some familiarity with what the material was. Why not make the same requirement of X-Men? Actually I take that back. The websites did a decent job posting bio's and character backgrounds. No exsuses then.

The only implication to the story was that he wasn't there. They kept it so vague NO ONE really knew what happened to him. What kind of story-telling is that/ THAT was going off with a bang? Hardly. That was more like having a Chuck Cunningham pulled on your butt. Notice how no one even missed him after his "death". Not even mentioned again after Xavier's duel with Jean. Guess he wasn't very popular at the school or with friends.

Don't get me wrong... BUT I"M SICk of people saying that Cyc is Dead ( CYC FAN MOSTLY ). Okay, I'll explain

I, being a psyc'gist I can tell that they thought that we'd understand that Cyc Died.

Why does it not show him dying?
1. It's to left us thinking he escaped UNTIL... We see Xavier being killed.
2. Fox budget
3. Theres always the part where Xavier can check in cerebro to see if Cyc has died. But he knew it.
4. Why did he "REALLY" ask storm to become head mistress? He had predicted this will happen.

X-men is not dead without him. It's without a single inacceptance then X-men's job is completed.

The Ones could you please share the link where you got this information from?
