Thanks CC! Got a long way to go before I finish the Hitchcock ones, so I haven’t thought about doing one for next year, but now you’ve got me considering it! I’ve always wanted to see more from Ingmar Bergman, as I’ve really only seen like 3 of his, so maybe he’ll be next.

Have you seen many Kurosawa films? That's a good director to watch.

Season two of Star Trek: Discovery premieres in 40 days. Meaning, if you watched an episode a day, you could get through season one and still have 25 days to spare. Think of all the time you'll have then. Think of the freedom. All it takes is for you to start right now.

I've seen 10 or so of his movies. Couple of decades ago the INDEPENDANT FILM CHANNEL was good about showing Japanese films.

It's on bluray and 4k. In the states, you can only stream it with CBS Access or a CBS subscription through another streaming service.

It's on Netflix... for other countries. I don't think it's ever coming to the American version while CBS All Access exists. You could, however, buy the BluRay set. Or get CBS All Access for a month.

But the BluRay comes in a SteelBook, so there's that.

No, but it came out on DVD a couple of weeks ago. I like the series. But I don't consider it as part of the other TREK shows....I see it as an alternate universe TREK.
