I'll be honest, I'm already liking this guy's attitude out of the character.

Hopefully we hear him talk about the role soon. Other than that Instagram post. They're probably getting ready to film if he's in NY already and I heard they were supposed to go into production in April

When do they tart filming? Do we have any idea?

Rumors said April.
Since he is in New York and said "Here we go" probably very very soon.

Excited for his hair lol his look as Danny and most of all his first costume and final costume by episode 13 lol. Because it's a tradition haha

i def cant wait to filming starts. So we finally can start to see how it will shape up.

It's Finn Jones, Danny Rand himself's, birthday today!

Totally that my problem dc great with cartoons, there animated movies and some of there live tv shows. But the direction and outcome of what they want to do with there new film verse I feel isn't the right way. Like what Snyder said why grant Gustin wasn't cast for movie flash and stuff like that. DC doesn't have someone like feige to keep writers and directors in check. And it seems wb let's directors do what ever and hope it turns out good.
It's funny because the opposite is the problems other studios have where they keep meddling with the directors vision to make it as marketable as they can. The problem is they'll hire people who made something really good recently, not necessarily caring if they're right for the specific film. That's what Marvel Studios does so well, they find the perfect people for the position. They have faith in their properties and go to great lengths to find people who can tell the stories properly. That's what's giving Marvel Studios such great branding right now. From movies to tv they've done such a great job that I'll watch anything under a Marvel Studios brands.

I'd never thought I'd be more excited for an Iron Fist show than a Batman/Superman movie, yet here we are.

Ya that too is a reason I enjoy mcu more. I say this all the time. It sucks dc does so well for tv or cartoons. But they just don't have it right yet for there film verse they are trying to do.

I have not watched any of the Netflix shows, Marvel included.
But, this show really intrigues me.
There are so many possibilities here.

^

You really should rectify that, 'Man. IMO all 3 seasons of their output thus far have been about the best superhero TV ever made... by some distance.

Daredevil S1 is easily the best thing to come out of Marvel since the first Iron Man. It's on par with Winter Soldier. S2 (I'm on episode 7) is even better. Quite possibly my favourite CBM franchise now besides Deadpool lol.

Jessica Jones is equally unique and the most original production from Marvel or DC. Such a different beast and definitely one of the best comic book adaptations. Quality all around.

Seriously, the Netflix shows are beating the MCU big screen offerings for me right now. I'm sure Civil War will be amazing, but the character development and rich storytelling in their Netflix shows is second to only Breaking Bad.

well it is easier to development for characters over a series where we can spend many episodes to do that vs 2 hr films and what not. But ya the netflix stuff been great and overall i enjoy watching everything from the mcu be it the films, shield/agent carter or the netflix shows.

I don't know anything about Iron Fist but reading the synopsis, is anyone concerned it sounds too much like Dr Strange? American travels to foreign mystical land, learns mystical arts, becomes a hero?

Go read Dr. Strange and go read iron fist and youll see they're completely different. Dr. Strange is more of the realm of magic, iron fist is more kung fu with some magic.
Its like saying iron man and batman are too similar, young child of a rich family tragically loses parents and grows up to hone his skills, create gadgets, and don a superhero suit to fight evil.

Iron fist and doctor strange are not too alike.

Iron fist is a orphaned kid taken in to a mystical city who learns martial arts to avenge his parents deaths.

Doctor strange is a arrogant surgeon who injures his hands in a accident and travels to find a mystic who can heal his hands. Instead of healing his hands the mystic trains him to be a sorcerer and protector of earth.

Other than learning skills and a new way of life in Asia they are not particularly similar.

Frankly, my first thought was Batman Begins with the synopsis, followed by Arrow. Doctor Strange is the farthest from my mind.

yeah they are yin and yang so to speak

ya fist and strange are two totally different characters with different backstories and powers and what not. No way to mistake the two really.

Outside of Simone Missick and Rosario Dawson, they probably won't announce anything until finalized.
