I read this over at io9:

And I wanted to find out what the Hype thinks about the Multi-verse theory. I for one believe in it. I also think there are in infinite number of parallel universes. Vote in the poll and share your thoughts on the possibility of other versions of you out there!
As per the poll, yes. As per the title of this thread no.
There is only ONE version of "me". Regardless of whether or not there is another universe where someone has the exact same number of cells and atoms etc assembled in the same way, he is not "me" or another version of "me".
To delve into this a bit, I apparently look exactly like my grandfather and he might have even suffered from the same lung disease that I did before I was "cured" - but my grandfather was not another version of me. Hell, the "me" of ten years ago isn't even the same "me" as right now. Physically, ever cell has been replaced, I'm bigger, have experienced more and have a different out look on life. So no, there is not "another version of me" in a parallel universe.
In your post you also mention the concept of infinite parallel universes - I'm assuming based on the whole "had I never met my wife, I would have gone down a different path thus a different universe" and this version of other universes I also don't believe because the fact of the matter is that the universe is in fact finite - our inability to perceive reality beyond spacetime is what makes us dub it "infinite". Reality outside of time and space is technically infinite based on the laws of OUR universe, but that's a very limited perception of reality.
As per infinite realities, even if you want to imagine a reality where every single slight influx and variation and mutation causes an alternate reality, there are two trends to follow;
The first is that because spacetime is finite, we'd still get a finite number of parallel universes based on this outlook (high number, but finite nonetheless).
Trend two is that everything in our reality is effected by it's environment and thus nothing can truly be random - including your thoughts, your actions, the weather, genetic mutations, disease, comets striking planets, formations of new stars, which photons escape an accretion disc and which plummet beyond the event horizon of a black hole.... it's all based on other factors - a chain reaction leading back to the big bang. So with this trend, no other universes can spawn off of slight variations because there are no slight variations. You cannot alter the course of time - it's ever moving and all happening at once.
So then going back to the poll, do I believe that multiple universes exist? Yes. Do they all abide by the laws of Spacetime? Maybe. Is it possible that there are other "humans" out there that look just like me? Yes - but then again so did my grandfather, that doesn't make him "me" though. Does a slight variation in the outcome of an event spawn the creation of an alternate reality? No - because time is relative and all events in our universe are dependent on their context.
