I'd like for condoms to be a write off on my taxes
with the fairtax you could get them rubbers with 100% of you paycheck and receive the decuction with no filing!!!

...despite the scientific evidence for homosexuality being genetic...
I'm answering this comment in the FairTax Thread.I like your proposal except one thing. I am not sure I like the "Prebate" idea that lets the "poor" get away with paying no taxes really. Everyone should have to pay their share of taxes.
The HGP isn't the only source of research. There are multiple sources of research, multiple groups looking for "proof" of homsexuality being genetic. As of yet, none have proven it at all. It is a hypothesis.

I agree, but I think it should be left up the the Individuals. This is a country of laws and Liberty. Who cares if 2 consenting adults, who love eachother, get married. It's not affecting the rights of any other individual.I may support gay marriage...but I think it's a decision that should be left up to the states...
I thought the whole point of a referendum was to remove gov't from the issue and let the voters decide directly. Big gov't, my fat fanny!
Actually no. I don't favor Big Government.
I am a Federalist at heart. I think the Fed should not touch the issue. I think states should have the right to choose whether they want to recognize gay marriage or not based upon the voters.
The ONLY reason I would support a Federal Constitutional amendment is because without, there will always be a liberal activist court that would overrule the states rights. They will legislate form the bench instea dof honoring the will of the people and the rights of the states. Therefore I would support an amendment to put an end to that.
Well it is redefining the definition of marriage. You can't tell me it's not. Forever marriage has meant one thing and if the gays succeed then it will mean something that is not the same as before.

What's more important? Liberty or a definition of a word? I'll take Liberty.Well it is redefining the definition of marriage. You can't tell me it's not. Forever marriage has meant one thing and if the gays succeed then it will mean something that is not the same as before.
Government aren't suppose to create contracts out of marriages in the first place. Gay or straight. It's the equivalent of making contracts for "friends".but we have a 50 percent divorce rate in this country, so it seems straight couples really don't care about the meaning all that much.....marriage, or at least the concept of it, has been around prior to Christianity....
Well first, Teddy was a better man than JFK.
And second, your little quote doesn't disavow anything my list said. You can recognize the differences in people and still follow the things Teddy said. You can celebrate what we have in common while still saying you must assimilate to the country you belong to.

Thus my problem with this multi-cultural trash. It's no longer "we are all Americans". It's we just live here, but we will maintain our allegiance and ties to our "homelands". After all, whats so special about America that it deserves our allegiance? This multi-cultural, celebrate where you came from, refuse to assimilate trash does nothing but weaken the fiber of our country.

You can be humble and right at the same time.
Besides, I said 9/10. I'm not always right. Pride would have been saying I'm always right.

And you say your a Marine. From what I read of you here I'd say the Corps would be ashamed to claim you.
