They top this movie by starting a new storyline in this film that can be expanded upon for three more movies...

Its how comics are done...have a B plot that takes over for the A plot when its resolved...the Spidey movies have done this quite well as they already have a C and D plot ready to go (The Lizard and John Jameson)

True. I also think the inclusion of Gwen Stacy in Spidey 3 is an obvious hint about the future of the franchise. I doubt she's there just for the one movie.

yes but doesnt sam try and keep it somewhat realistic? this movie is kinda breaking the mold, but as cool as the man spider would be it doesnt seem like hed do it.. im sure there are great stories to tell, but i think your missing the point, what im saying is they crammed all kinds of stories in to this one, my question is if they make another one with less story or villains or whatever will it feel like something is missing after such a filling 3rd movie..

Sorry but those two have got to be the stupidest ideas to bring to a movie. We already got Peter turning dark into this movie, we wouldn't need him mutating into an evil giant half-man/half-spider.

Bring in Black Cat, bring in new villains, but whatever Sam does he better not bring those two storylines.

The only thing I would say is that the movies have now used up the Big Three villains, and there are no particular villains which fans are all clamouring to see like they did Doctor Octopus or Venom. The Lizard seems to be the most popular choice.

if you develop Curt Connors in this film and slowly turn him into the Lizard then the public at large will care about him...because they care about the character...same goes with John Jameson...slowly turning him into a villian will have a much bigger impact on movie-goers than just shoe-horning some villian into a movie.

Part 4 does have to have the same kind of formula if it will stand a chance for moviegoers.That means just as much action if not more,and same thing with the amount of villains being in it.

They could make the Rhino into an A villain if they change him a little.They should use the Ultimate Rhino,but they should make the Rhino suit only 8 foot tall,and have the guy who controls it be a dwarf.

And the dwarf could be a scientist type,so the Rhino would be smart,and strong.

The big question is if Sam can make all the different stuff in 3 work without it becoming silly. I mean, Venom and Goblin 2 all in one is all ready pretty wad blowing, and that's the tip of the ice berg.

I don't know, I think they should play it safe and end it on three. Though as Kevin Roegele has said, from a business point of view, its only logical to make more.

Its just that as a fan, I'm afraid they would start having to use some of the not-so-good villains, and use some not-so-good plots. Thats why I'd end it with three, I mean, its a good number to end on anyway.



And yeah, I know I have absolutely no say in what they do with the idea of future sequels, but I just thought I'd share my view.

I totally agree with you! 3 is enough, the actors don't want to do their lives with just 1 kind of movie, just wait 20 years or less and we will have a new restart

yes thats exactly what im talking about you hit the nail on the head.. basicly the next movie cant ever be below this one it will always have to raise the bar higher, which means more room for absurdety.. i dunno i honestly am very surprised that this thread is still open, but im glad to read all the insightful comments..

there was suppose to be six spidey movies, sam, tobey and the rest of the cast signed on for three spidey movies, tobey said that if there are interesting storied to tell then he will be in it, if spidey3 is succesful then there will be a spidey4, and i know for sure spidey3 will be AMAZING!!!!, hat im sure of, if there is a spidey4, i hope the cast and crew return, it would be diffrent without them.
