The Thing vs. The Thing

Current day Thing goes back in time to provide the cure to the Thing of the past. Naturally, they fight each other before the cure gets administered.

Of course when he returns to the present, there's no change because all he did was effectively spawn another alternate timeline.

They already pulled that move on Beast. It would take stones to rip o- er, make homage to the Hulk two films in a row. Stones or a true lack of creativity, one or the other.

honestly I kinda hope we never actually see Bell on screen (nothing again him) I just hope Ben starts out already transformed and stays that way throughout... maybe, a flashback of young Ben, but, once the Thing he should stay the Thing

I think he will stay once transformed. Bell is an experience Mo-Cap actor, they didn't choose him to not use that.

I suspect that the first act will be them as kids and young adults and the second act will be the 'N-Zone' machine and their transformation.

They seem to want to make that transformation a big part of the story. With that in mind, the transformation to the Thing may not be immediate and we may see it develop over the course of second act.

By the third act, he may be the Thing and then they'll probably throw together some battle with Doom to try to finish things off.

I have this awesome idea, what if after they all get their powers, it seems Ben is the only one unchanged, over the course of the film, Ben starts noticing slight changes to his skin,his skin gets more and more Rocky and bumpy, it gets so bad he hides from the other three, everyone is wondering were he went, basically by the end of the film, he has fully transformed into the Thing, and just when Doom is about to win Bam! he bustes out fully transformed and says his iconic line, and together they defeat Doom!

I have this awesome idea, what if after they all get their powers, it seems Ben is the only one unchanged, over the course of the film, Ben starts noticing slight changes to his skin,his skin gets more and more Rocky and bumpy, it gets so bad he hides from the other three, everyone is wondering were he went, basically by the end of the film, he has fully transformed into the Thing, and just when Doom is about to win Bam! he bustes out fully transformed and says his iconic line, and together they defeat Doom!

Or an even better idea is that none of the Four think that they're changed, and by the end of the film when Doom is about to win, they still aren't changed, but defeat him by using their wits and a few other weapons, and their powers only develop in the *sequel.*

At least it will save on budget that way and will seem like something plausible within the story.

Since it's Kinberg writing, I thought it would be really funny if the movie opened like Mr.& Mrs. Smith. With the entire four in family counseling talking about their problems getting along. Fully powered and they end up talking about how they met and things would take off from there.

I like that idea. He could have a little enhanced strength and think that's the extent of his powers then like you said he slowly mutates over the course of the movie rather than have it happen right away.

I seriously doubt we see any of the FF in this movie.
We definitely will not see Ben Grimm the Football star, war veteran and test pilot. We'll see a tiny person trying to fill his enormous shoes.
