I read that Yggdrasil is inhabited by stags, an eagle and a wyrm. Third game to have a vaguely z-shapped poison, dragon, poison/dragon or poison/ground legendary snake?

Snake would make sense, or some type of dragon. Out of the two new legendaries, one is land, and the other flying. So following the theme of land, and air, sea would make sense. A water dwelling serpentine type?

That would be cool. Have we gotten a sea-monster kind of legendary? I would love that.

Kyogre is the closest we've had. Water/poison would be a good typing.

Water/poison would be a good typing. Like a stronger tentacool or tentacruel.

I'd like to see a legendary ghost at some point. That would be neat.

I'm just now playing Platinum for the first time. I didn't know it was a ghost type.

I just realized that I missed out on the middle two generations of games. I never played Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald when they were released because I was late to the GBA party. Same for Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. I eventually borrowed and kept my nephew's DS and bought LeafGeen and HeartGold a couple of years, and rented Black. I kind of want a new adventure so I'm thinking of renting Black/White 2 soon because I know I won't be able to play Xor Y due to a lack of a 3DS.

Man, I really hope we get a console version that looks like this sometime in my our lifetime.

I really hope we get a sequel to Pokemon snap soon

A remake of Pokemon Ruby or Emerald wouldn't hurt either.

Argh, I was just going around in HeartGold look for a Latias, and I came across a blue Ponyta. I paralyzed it and tried to catch it, but my Raichu ended up knocking it out with a one hit KO. :(

i have caught all 7 sages and truthfully am not fussed about all the legendarys which i know very little about.

Not really. There's more to do in version 2 after completing the story than there was in version 1.

That sucks. I still remember back in Silver when I first saw a shiny. I thought it was a glitch, and killed it. It wasn't until Fire Red that I found out what it was. I think it was a mareep.

I don't know how I feel about the entire concept of shiny pokemon. On one hand, the concept I think is cool. But they're so rare, I completely forget that they exist most of the time.

I've been playing since Gen 1 was first released, and I met my first shiny in Black; it was Herdier.

What level should I be at to face Red in Heartgold? My team is:

Feraligatr
Arcanine
Dragonite
Tyrannitar
Misdreavous
Scyther

Dragonite is level 60; everoe else is 50's.

You know, I think I'm kind of burnt out on Pokemon games. I've played the first two generations to exhaustion when I was young, but I skipped the next two. But I bought LeafGreen and HeartGold for a long time a couple of years ago, and still go back to them every now and then. But I rented Black 1 last year and got all the up to the Elite Four before I got tired and sent it back. I just rented White 2 last week and even though I still had new places to visit, I had no interest once I defeated the Elite Four.

Maybe its because I knew I still had like 400 more Pokemon to catch, and I didn't have time to look/trade for all of them. But for some reason I feel like there's just too many Pokemon out there to keep it interesting.

Yeah, I remember on my original Gold/Silver, I saw a Yellow Ledyba, and I caught it just to see if it would change color. But it was so cool to see it in Pokemon Stadium 2 and play with Pokemon that actually looked different.

But I can't remember if I had a shiny Ditto or some kind of cheat that a friend gave me, but I remember seeing a bunch of different shiny Pokemon in that game.

friend code? battle sometime?

just completed the pokedex the other day :)
