Pokémon It's the Pokemon thread - Part 1

IGN has a top 100 Pokemon. I didn't like some choices and some comments are incredibly stupid. For example, Blaziken is 50 but the comment basically says "I don't know why he made this list since I don't like him." I mean, really? Not to mention Infernape was a lot lower on the list when he's so much cooler.

Emboar was the only final form starter that didn't make the list.
Cyndaquil was the only non-Gen I basic starter form that made the list.
All 3 stages of the Gen I starters made the list.
The most overrated Pokemon ever is #1 :o

The top 100? Lame. There are too many good ones. If anything list the top 50 worst

I agree. Charizard is visually interesting, but not that great a pokemon. There are plenty of other fire types worth using

I laugh at anyone who uses Charizard against me. I can use either Surf and destroy it in 2 moves, or any Rock move and destroy it in one. Yeah, it looks cool. Especially when it's crushed under a boulder :o

It's "best" not "most likely to last long in a battle" because I do believe this list isn't solely based on the video games, but the cartoons (where Charizard is in fact the king ****ing daddy) and the card game (where Charizard is in fact king ****ing daddy).

Pff, still... It is the coolest Pokemon ever! :awesome:

And...You probably used your 60 lv Blastoise vs 36 lv Charizard.

Charizard was a *****ebag in the anime and the card wasn't that great. I did get the card in a booster pack and had a geekgasm when I saw it.

He's cool looking. But that's it.

I don't use Blastoise. Even if he Charizard had a level advantage on my Pokemon, I could beat him. I tried to beat the Diamond Elite 4 with just a level 77 Charizard (which is about 20 levels over theirs) and couldn't do it.

Call him a *****ebag all you want, but after Ash released him it was always an event when Charizard came back.

Lucario
Mewtwo
Garchomp

They all have incredible usability in the games, and are incredible designs for the superficial. They cover all the areas that matter, unlike IGN's number 1...

I hate Ash's Charizard. Ash saved his life as Charmander yet he was become completely ungrateful after he evolved.

To me, Lugia is the #1 Pokemon. He's the master of the bird trio (being Zapdos' master alone makes him awesome). He can fly AND live underwater yet is Psychic, and just looks awesome overall.

But my personal #1 is Bulbasaur. He was my first starter, my first companion, and still remains the best grass starter after 5 generations.

Nidoking will always be my number 1. I've ALWAYS had a Nidoking on my team somehow (except for Black version.....stupid trade restrictions)

Watch a guy beat Cynthia using only a team of level 1's. The guy commenting on it can be annoying but it's still cool nonetheless.

Yeah, I love Lugia too, He is my most favorite Pokemon Legendaries.

First 3DS Pokemon game (sorta) announced :

Pokémon Pokédex 3D To Arrive On 3DS eShop

Pokédex 3D will be a new FREE application that will, supposedly, be one of the first Nintendo 3DS 3Shop titles. This application will allow Pokémon fans to view the Unova Pokémon (AKA the Pokémon from the Black and White games) in 3D along with their information, such as moves.

While this may sounds somewhat straightforward and boring, it’s not. Pokédex 3D will actually turn into a game of sorts because players only start out with the information for 16 Pokémon. The player will be urged to use SpotPass, trade information with friends, or to scan QR codes to unlock more Pokédex entries. Pokédex 3D will also take advantage of AR cards so that Pokémon fans can take pictures of their Pokémon in 3D.

You can view screens here. As a 3DS owner and frequently crunching hours into Pokemon White, this is pretty cool to me. Plus, free is good...was going to assume for sure that Nintendo would charge 5 banana dollars for it. Just looking forward to more 3DS stuff.

ok, here's a question for anybody to answer, I'm currently trying to catch Kyurem in white version...but i can't. i'm at the giant chasm, i just went through the first cave and am now in the foresty maze thing. i know i'm suppose to find a small lake, where i'll here a screech and it'll start snowing or whatever, but the thing is, i can't find the lake. I've watched walk through videos of people, so i have an idea of where to find this thing, but it's like its not even there. is there something i have to do before i can catch Kyurem? like talk to somebody or unlock something like the three legendary stags?

so i didn't pay attention to e3 any word on a console pokemon game or is my dream of one with all generations intact still a dream

I heard some rumblings about it, but nothing really concrete

No word. I wouldn't count on there being one any time soon.

didn't think so, its printing money for nintendo really but again most game companies dont see the easy options unless it's a just a repackage of someone else's idea

why on earth are the e3 game trailers not on europe eshop yet!? nintendo are slow on this one, the best way to experience the games without playing them and noone in europe has seen them - ****ing easy to put up and essentially free advertising and they dont bother over here! ****ing crazy!
