Finally got my copy of Pokemon Black. Here's my team that I am aiming to have to face the 7th leader:

Sang-Drax (Serperior)
Jack (Lampent)
Niv-Mizzet (Eelektross)
Teague (Archeops)
Takhisis (Haxorous)
King (Krookodile)

This morning I just realize that, not including Lampent, I've got a draconic team with 1 real dragon and the rest arguably pseudo dragons.

Tried to sit down and play Black version again. Almost had a rage stroke. Wild pokemon are far too annoying in this game

After seeing HeartGold and SoulSilver I really wanna see a remake that combines Yellow, Crystal and Emerald. To me they were the best games, with Diamond, I just didn't seem to care about my pokemon but I haven't played Black or White yet, so I still have hope.

The last one I played was Crystal. After that, there were just too many Pokemon to try to keep up with that I didn't even want to bother with them.

Emerald is really good. It is the last one I would recommend playing though. Unless of course they do release a singular updated version of Yellow, Crystal and Emerald. That would be so ****.

This new batch of Pokemon is the best yet. Of course, the best game overall will still be Emerald.

Not sure I agree with best yet. I have yet to find a Pokemon I actually like

I loved the Electric/Bug. The Zebra was also very useful early because it could learn a Fire move. Drillbur is good, too.

I think Gen V was a real treat for the bug fans. I've got my fire-type covered with Lampent, and eventually Chandelure, but I really like Volcarona's design, too. The Chandelure line and Hydreigon's Dex entries are awesome.

You guys are pretty civil about this; I've seen Gen Wars turn unbelievably ugly.

I liked how this generation had unique type combinations and evolutions. There were some lame pokemon, but I'll take an ice cream cone if it means having more Dragons and an Electric/Bug.

I think that's what scared me off from the games after Crystal. I've always felt as though by increasing the number of pokemon, it increases the different kind of types and matchup to a point where it would be too hard to keep track of all of the different types that come from the new ones. Heck, I played HeartGold and stopped once I beat the Elite Four and had to start dealing with the new breeds from the later games.

The type effectiveness hasn't changed since Gen II. And there really haven't been that many new type combinations before Gen V.

The biggest change was in Gen IV when they made it that attack moves could now be special or physical regardless of the type. For example, all Fire type moves used to be Special and all Fighting type moves Physical. Now there are some Fire type that are both (Flamethrower is Special, Flare Blitz is Physical) and the same for Fighting. It really helped a lot of Pokemon such as Arcanine who always had a high Attack but could never take advantage of it with any Fire moves.

to me the best so far has been yellow, it was the first on i played and allowed you basically access to everything without having to worry about major trading.

yeah i know the trading is part of it but it bugs the hell outta me plus the first 151 are the best

is there any word on what the 3rd version of B&W will be

Grey seems likley, with a storyline focusing more on Kyurem, with Zekrom and Reshiram in supporting roles. If any Sages from Plasma escape in the end game of B/W, it'd be neat if Grey were a sequel to B/W rather than a straight rehash with a few new elements.

I am a bit miffed that I can't get a Volcarona until after the Elite 4. Also, I'm considering breeding my Serperior for Snivy's. Is it possible to ensure that the Day Care people don't erase Giga Drain/Leaf Blade while its in their care?

To me it all became way to much. To many pokemon, the original 151 were great. You knew MEW was the strongest and was the most elusive. with Mewtwo being a close second.

The stories for the legendary were all elusive and mysterious and now they just seem like they've been done to destruction.

I personally hope if they do decide to make one for the wii, they keep a lot of the original aspects to it.

The originals were great because it had the best Pokemon, Crystal was good as it felt new, but didn't add too many new pokemon, Emerald was great because it had a truly good story. It they could find a way to combine all three on DS or WiiU I'd be a happy camper.

I'm still waiting for a 3D RPG remake any of the games for the Wii or WiiU.

Why? White and Black came out just 4 months ago, they aren't going to announce a new one so soon. Besides, Emerald and Platinum came out 2 years after Ruby/Sapphire and Pearl/Diamond, respectively.
