It's probably gonna be something dumb, they're just hyping it. Anyway, I got Black Version 2 yesterday. It's a good bit of fun. I'm really enjoying it. Oh and getting decent pokemon by the second gym leader really makes me happy.

Can you trade with black from the start, got a bunch of bred Pokemon I wanna use when I start black 2

Probably a new 3DS Game. The last time they made a big stink. It was a new Hand Held game was it not ?

So is anyone disappointed with how easy the Gym Leaders seemed this time around (I haven't tried Challenge Mode)? :(

GoNintendo is reporting that Nintendo's Pokemon announcement might end up being Pokemon Rainbow, a 3DS game that takes place in the settings of Pokemon Red/Green/Blue/Yellow, Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal, Pokemon Red/Silver/Emerald, and Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum and the Pokemon of those games. The game will have 3D graphics as opposed to the pixelated style of the previous games and will introduce 20 new Pokemon.

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for a legit WiiU pokemon game that can also be pared up with a new 3DS pokemon.

Hmmm, this could be pretty interesting, although I would still love to see a WiiU version of a game first.

When Grumpigs fly.

Are there certain conditions, like beat the first gym or can you do it soon as you hit the first Pokemon Center.

I traded after the second gym battle, but to my knowledge you can trade as soon as you get the pokedex.

As much as we all would love to see that, I don't think there is a chance in hell of that happening.

If this turns out to be some cruel, sick joke then...

It'll either be another remake (like HeartGold, FireRed...but for Ruby & Sapphire) or Nintendo teasing a whole new Pokémon (for Generation 6).

For the first time ever in a Pokemon game... I'm going to choose grass as my starter.

LOL I just got Gen 5 and now we're moving on to Gen 6! i don't know about that 3D crap, the 2D works with me, the characters look great in hand drawn cut outs and the sprites.

So far, all the 3D stuff looked ugly IMO
But i'll be getting the game because I play all pokemon games (except...i still haven't played a Johto game. I never did get around to buying Soul Silver/Heartgold)

That Pokemon Rainbow was fake? What a surprise

I haven't had the desire to buy or purchase White 2 and I feel the same about this. The starters look lame.

trades apparently get more people to come to your Join Avenue, which allows you to open up more shops or increase popularity. The better those shops are, the better items they will provide.
Also if you send a pokemon to the dream world we can visit each others houses and get more dream points for watering berries or trading crappy items (like some super potion or whatever). More dream points grants you access to better pokemo. Dreamworld dratini evolves into a sick dragonite

While I enjoyed Black and White, I went ahead and skipped over B&W 2. Maybe by the time X and Y come out I'll have gotten around to getting a 3DS finally. I do like that it's going 3D, but not that blocky, N64 style 3D Nintendo usually goes for on it's handhelds.

As for the starters, Ben said for the first time he's going grass, I think it might be the opposite for me. I usually do grass on my first run, then on my second copy go fire (like grass on white, fire on black). Problem is, the starters keep looking junkier. The fire type this time is the only passable starter, IMO. The grass type looks like what you'd normally get in your first normal type encounter in the wild (think ratattata). Though his mole like claws tell me he might be grass/earth like Torterra, which is a plus. The water type, like usual, is hideous, so no thanks. I never choose water type first anyway since water types are so abundant, and I'm definitely not choosing him now.

Then again, with the ability to breed and trade online so easily now, choosing a starter isn't as big of a deal since you can get all 3 fairly easily. Though I usually limit myself from doing that until later in the game. I like using what I can catch in the wilds until near the last gym or two. Then I start trading and putting together an uber team to beat the game with. Otherwise the game goes by a bit too easily, and it makes catching new Pokemon feel pointless and anti-climatic as you already have your team put together from the start. Atleast IMO. On my second run though I don't mind breeding, and transfering a dream team over.

Edit - Side note, that bird legendary looks awesome. The other, not so much. It will depend on what other exclusives they have, but I'm already feeling biased on which version I'll get based on which version the bird is in. I usually based getting legendaries with versions on looks as I never use them in actual battle. So starting with a fire type, and getting (what looks to be) a fire/flying type doesn't bother me.

Black version 2 is a win for me, because I've got a Magmar and Magnezone that are dominating all they survey. Also, I think there were some repercussions for my actions in Black version 1. In #1 I committed genocide against the Audino species. Thousands lay dead at my feet. Now I'm playing version2 and I can't find an Audino anywhere. Makes me wonder if I really did end their species?
