Rogue One James Earl Jones is Darth Vader in Rogue One

While it had it's fair share of lava and volcanos it looked no where as hellish as Mustafar.

Well it's been confirmed that it is indeed that planet so.

Yup, Pablo confirmed it.

I thought JEJ did pretty good. Obviously not as good as in the original trilogy, but a marked improvement over Rebels.

I have never been more curious to hear how Vader sounds. :funny:

Yeah I just got back from an early screening. Holy moly is Vader's last sequence in this incredible.

He was good. Less robotic than in Rebels, but there was a bit of life in his voice that surprised me. He even made a Roger Moore Bond joke.

If you are lying Roose, the Force help you...

Ha, one of my friends (who loves puns) turned to me with the biggest smile ever when that line happened last night "Darth Vader just made a pun!!". :funny:

That was a great moment.
He had moments like that in old movies too. Apology accepted Captain Needa.

Ok the tweets were 100% right. Vader is a ****ing terror in that one scene. Holy. ****.

Him Force pushing that guy to the ceiling and gutting him while walking under him and deflecting bolts with his hands was bonkers.

Gareth Edwards has given us the quintessential Vader scene.

Yeah I gasped when that scene happened. Can't wait to see it again tonight.

Your comments guys really get me excited about seeing Vader!

How long is that above mentioned scene with Vader? 1-2 mins?

Yeah about 1 minute, but it's really impactful.

Whoever said that Vader was like a horror movie villain in his last scene was spot on. I keep waiting for Jason Vorhees' leitmotiff to start blaring while Vader went on his rampage.

I just got back too and I literally had tears in my eyes. Vader was a beast. The combo of light sabre action with the force as he goes all gray fox on those rebels was sublime. Never has a mini massacre looked so badass.

That was the Vader that I wanted to see in the damn prequels, that was was one of the TOP 5 scenes in Star Wars movies for me, by far.

I scream at the theater when the lightsaber ignated in the dark, absolutely perfect

Vader was the best thing in the movie, despite not having that much time. I can't shake the feeling that the movie would have been better if they focused more on him. I get that they are making new things, but since this is a direct prequel to Episode IV it felt like they could have gone further with that.

Great to hear. Hopefully we get more of him in future films.

i wouldn't say I am a hard core Star Wars fan so I may not have a total eye and ear for these things but Vader seemed abit off to me, his walk had a swagger and JEJ voice sounded noticably older
