Lionsgate

Advanced Dark said:Eli Roth? Lionsgate has some pretty nifty directors. Who's the director of Crank? That looks like fun.
RedIsNotBlue said:Yeah exactly. Give us a sequel that is more like the Lundgren Punisher.![]()
Kable24 said:Yeah, because the Punisher was the worse comic book movie ever created and had nothing at all in common with the source material![]()
Saint said:Good, with Hensleigh not returning maybe we'll get a Punisher movie that doesn't suck.
TheVileOne said:Brian Taylor and Mark Neveldine directed Crank. James Isaac (Jason X) directed Skinwalkers. Jonathan Hensleigh has nothing to do with it as far as I know.
Sounds like The Punisher 2 has entered development hell officially. I can see why there's no rush for Lionsgate to make it when they have the SAW series. Just saying, there's a reason why SAW got its sequels made so quickly, even though they switched directors after the first one.

Advanced Dark said:that's what i've been saying. With Saw and Hostel sequels why rush to make P2 unless there's nothing better. Crank looks like fun. Clearly just an actionfest and not much more. There's always room for films like that. This is why I want Marvel to get the rights back so they can make a sequel or sell the rights to use the punisher in individual films. Imagine Spiderman 5 with Spidey waking up on an Island and being hunted by Kraven, and then finding out The Punisher is there too being hunted as well. Then they escape and both hunt down Kraven in NY. Punihser trying to kill him and Spiderman trying to capture him and stop the PUNIsher.![]()

But it's really quite simple folks. If Punisher made some actual BO money than a second sequel would already be in the can right now. This business of re-writing scripts and finding the right director wouldn't even be an issue. It would be done 2 and a half years ago.
