Jane gives update on Punisher 2

Who do you guys want to write the sequel?

I don't care who's to blame. I just wanted a serquel and I doubt we're getting one. Why did Saw make more then the Punisher. Was it advertising? Marketing? WHAT!?!?!

All they got to do with the Punisher is the same thing they're doing with Saw.

But I say Marvel should regain the rights back anyway.

I still have faith in a sequel.

Garth Ennis, if he could properly do a movie adaptation.

Damn Ennis would own. If he were to write it that would be the smartest move.

I like how you completely ignore good points I bring up and just comment on the ones you can Vile. Die.

Whatever like you never brush aside valid point. And I don't command you to die either. That's where you differ.

It's a low budget, bloody, and violent horror film. Those movies are really the most profitable releases in cinema today. And it came out during Halloween, so it was really convenient. The Punisher on the other hand was just a bad revenge action movie and it came out at an inconvenient time.

So your admitting your brushing them aside?? Lol. No sorry I am able to look over both sides of the fence equally but you tend to do just stay on the side where your opinion lies. You can't even agree on some great points I made because you just hate the movie so much that anything for it is impossible.

I think one main issue with the punisher's box office numbers was that it was showing against Man on Fire, a similarly themed movie with a bigger, cast, buget, and maketing scheme.

Oh yeah of course. Man on Fire definitely ****ed with Punisher too.

Even though it was complete rubbish.

A lot of people I have heard from liked Man on Fire. I personally found the editing and cinematography of it irritating. Or were you talking abou Punisher? lol.

Nah man on fire was awful. Hated the shakey camerawork and it took an hour to getr to the meat of the story. the girl from war of the worlds was annoying and i thought that denzel washington's uncle tom character was not so good- typical that he had to sacrifice himself at the end. I was on the verge of exiting the cinema a number of time during this. Id say it was every bit as bad as the current 'the sentenel'. Dire.

Yes I agree. While The Sentinel wasn't a piece of **** it was just VERY average and uninteresting. It really didn't offer anything.

yep totally derivative. arrgh where is punisher 2 already?

I could not get into Man On Fire that much. It had a lot going for it though. I liked the idea of the bodyguard and the girl establishing a bond of friendship, and have revenge not be based on someone killing a relative to the main character. But, like I said, couldn't get into it. I agree on the shakey camera work, and I guess I didn't like the introduction to the vengeance-taking. It was just "off" to me. Even the more brutal scenes didn't get to me too much. Hell, the "knife in the mouth" scene in The Punisher was cooler than most of the stuff in Man On Fire, even though it was so brief.

Let's make it ourselves. Pool our money, write it and get things moving.

While i liked Man On Fire i know what you are saying. I know it wasnt meant to be an action movie but there could have been a bit more action in it. The whole time it was basically just Creasy interogating people. But the first hour of MOF was great IMO. Oh and the alternate ending was much better than the theatrical one.

^Creasy goes The Voice's house but he planted a bomb up his behind like he did to the police guy, and sets it off, killing himself, The Voice and all of his men in the house.

Sounds like the ending of the Professional.

Its been over a month since Jane gave this interview. Why do we still have no clue who the the Punisher 2 writer is? Do LGF or Marvel have any interest in sharing this info?Is that so much to ask?
