Jason Bourne

I can believe it. They could be misdirecting us, but the trailer itself doesn't look to offer much new unless they're hiding a lot more.

Honestly I'm glad the trailers aren't giving much away so far. I hope that means it will blow me away.

I'm not holding my breath, but I would love it if this whole [blackout]Nikki[/blackout] thing in the trailers turned out to be a misdirect of some kind. I mean, I'm fully prepared to love this movie as I have the other Greengrass Bourne flicks, but that part, especially if it plays out how it appears to in these clips, still won't sit well with me.

To me it just says the direction the rest of the movie is headed in if that's the case. Just kind of a retread of what we know. Making it "Post Snowden" is just the modern paint. But there is a lot of potential to see Bourne back all these years later in this new world. That's the thing. But I'm afraid in the worst case they're just doing "Bourne is back!" and the modern post Snowden landscape in the most superficial ways as just mere ideas to justify another Bourne film.

I fully expect her to die.

You know there can't be two women in an action film...:ninja:

Jokes aside, I dont see why that decision would be made

I guess those suspecting Vikander would be taking the female lead of this franchise away from Stiles could've been right. Didn't think they'd rehash Supremacy though. That'd be disappointing.

Or in most films for that matter.

Oh I'd be extra-annoyed if they killed her off just so that they could make Alicia Vikander's character more important. Not that I have any problem with Alicia being a major/important part of this movie mind you, I don't. But the whole "trading out" thing is what would annoy me. You don't have to kill off one female lead just to bring in another, you can have more than one you know (especially if they serve different functions in the narrative).

And if Pamela Landy isn't going to be in this, then it'd be even more irritating still. Plus "she gets killed off in order to motivate Bourne to avenge her, and find out what she was trying to tell him beforehand" would just be a REALLY predictable way to go in general.

I was just about to mention a Bourne movie w/o Landy or Parsons is going to be really weird.

Who cares if Nikki dies? IMHO she's not that crucial to the story. I want to know what happened to Landy.

Apparently, quite a few people. And yeah, she was pretty important to the story of the last Damon film. And also it's the principle of it, and the fact that we've already done this sort of thing before in these films, so it'd feel like a rehash.

I truly hope that last TV spot was misdirection because it's pretty f***ing stupid otherwise to show that. Let us be surprised, damn.

Reminds me of that trailer for The Cold Light of Day where you can tell Bruce Willis dies in the first act of the movie.

I never actually saw the film, but the trailer totally gave that away, lol.

Marie was the love of his life. Nikki was his handler who he may or may not have had a fling with while he was in Treadstone.

I don't have a link to it, But the tracklist to the soundtrack has been released.

Yeah. But what about chems, and enhanced genetics and all that ****?

Yeah but they might use it to explain Landy's absence.

I personally think they're hiding that. Perhaps Landy plays a key part of the plot and something Bourne might have to reach. She's really his only ally and someone he can trust. Especially if Nikki might bite it.

I wouldn't be surprised if they kill her to prove a point

Jason Bourne/David Webb must be alone with no backup

She's like Chloe from "24" She matters to the main character
