Jaws Remake In The Works :(

o trust me, this movie will be remade sooner or later.

what IF the movie is directed by someone with Spielberg's mindset/makes the movie similar and have the same tone.....with WETA doing the shark???

Absolutely unneeded and would ruin everything that made the original great. The first was lightning in a bootle. A perfect combination of direction, music, acting, etc. It was a horror to make but the light at the end of the tunnel came from happy accidents (shark didn't work, so we don't see it for the first 2/3 of the movie).

A remake would lose the zeitgeist of 1970s American cinema that birthed the original and even little, but crucial factors, like Quint being on the USS Indianapolis.

There is no way to remake this movie.

I'd rather see a movie based on the incident of the USS Indianapolis. Maybe with a Quint cameo thrown in as a nod to film geeks like us.

it may not be needed But it don't mean it would be a bad movie for some people!,it wouldn't ruin the original cause the original will always be there and still have fond memories.

There's tons of ways this could be re-imagined!,I agree the first was"lightning in a bottle"and I ain't asking for a re-make/re-imagining.....But I ain't slamming the idea already!

I don't know how this thread got started b/c it was obvious BS from the get-go.

This thread, the very idea of this thread, should burn in hell.
